Have there been any public pleads from/by the parents? I haven't been able to locate any - perhaps a local has seen them televised there...TIA

The only public thing I have found is the step-moms facebook page..

The parents have not been on the local news.

There is a video at this link of a tour of Kyron's classroom. Under Kyron's picture on the page click on where it says"Tour of Kyron's classroom." I sure hope he is okay because it is heartbreaking to watch knowing something may have happened.

Remember the little girl that went missing in OR not long ago, gosh her name escapes me at the moment.
The one where her mom went in the front door and turned around and the little girl was gone??? Y'all remember that one?
I'm thinking she was like 3 or 4. We NEVER saw her parents at all until she was found. She had wandered off.
Her parents never made a plea either.

Lack of plea does not mean much IMO.

ETA: I forgot to say she was found safe. She had wandered off.

Does anyone recall a case in which a child was abducted from inside a school by a total and complete stranger who walked in? Ever?

Yes! It happened here in Portland about 15 or 20 years ago. Guy was staying at a flea-bag motel right across the street from a middle school. He walked into the school, picked up a girl, dragged her across the street to his room. Police were called right away, and when they got there, he was shoving the girl out a back window. She had already been violated.

I would never ask the parents of a missing child to speak if they are not ready to. JMO

I don't think anything is "normal" or "usual" when a child is missing.

We went through months of discussion in the Somer Thompson case about how the mom did not act right. She was bashed and blamed and made fun of from everything from how she cried, lack of tears, how she sang at the vigils, what she wore to the funeral...it went on and on. Look how that turned out. The poor woman had NOTHING to do with Somer's murder. So, a lesson could be learned from that. IMO

I can state several cases where the parents were bashed and blamed for months and had NOTHING to do with it. So, I try not to do that unless there is pretty good reason given by LE.

I know. I've learned a few things about how to handle myself if something like this ever happens in my family, and a PR rep (on the downlow) would be consulted for sure. I also have no presence whatsoever on the web - no FB, no MS, no photos, no nothing. People would find very little personal information, if any, about me, my family, or my friends on the web. It's just gives people too much information - which they then interpret in bizarre ways sometimes.

i seriously dont get the comments about what or what not the parents should be doing. its very annoying.

it must really stink to not only have your kid missing, one you raised since birth like your own son, but to have your life and every miniscule action dissected looking for anything percieved as being 'improper'

I don't think that address is current. They do not live in Aloha. That would be a completely different school district. I saw it written somewhere that they live about 3 miles from the school on some acreage.

They live about 3 miles south of the school, just off NW Skyline.

Thanks Gwenabob , I will let chili fries know. Do you know their actual address and I will map it out?

btw if the fbi is bringing in a profiler that would tend to lead against the parents being involved

Thanks so much for this, Ruby.

Does anyone know why Kyron would go to a school so far from his home? I had presumed that they lived in a somewhat rural area, but it appears that they live in a fairly densely populated area that would have a number of schools right in the area.

Oh yes,I remember that one,she had been playing in yard with new little toys and walked off. They found her later around a ridge, that was so scary, all those wild animals out there. She about three miles away,I think. And she wandered on her own.

Any thoughts/ideas on what type of incident the police would be called to respond to at an elementary school? TIA!

Custody issues, fight or bullying, car accident, suspious or inappropriate behavior, suspious person hanging around....those are some things I can think of.

He didn't say Kyron was seen at the south entrance door alone. He didn't say anyone else was seen with him, either. Just one of those things we'll have to find out later.

Yep, exactly.

My take on the latest presser. The LE official seemed very heavy hearted, more so than even with a child missing, I almost expected him to say bad news.

That LE had gotten the info they needed from the classmates.

When asked if there was a poi he hesitated but then just said everyone is a poi.

That Kyron was not seen by anyone else after the time the stepmom said she last saw him. (i believe that is what he said, someone can correct me if i'm wrong)

That the search is now narrowed down to some specific areas.

That he doesn't believe it was an abduction.

(there's more but i can't think of it all right now)

Was wondering if maybee one of the children at the school made fun of Kyron or some other kind of incident and he decided to just up and leave school?? Tried to walk home maybee?? IDK, so they are not leaning to a kidnapping??

This is true but when you are putting yourself and your family out on social networking sites like FB and MS, this is what happens. The whole world has access to your life and what you are doing at the moment, makes it easier for people to start forming opinions :twocents:
