Just my opinion...I'm thinking that she (like everyone) heard that Kyron was last seen by SM when she dropped him off at school at 8:45am. Since we now all know better (she didn't just drop him off, but instead went in with him to view and photograph the science project), that is maybe why she said don't listen to the news...

I agree.

If you go back and read the first thread, there were all sort of conflicting reports in the beginning. Still are, in some respects.

Trying to catch up here, but I had a theory about the white truck: if AmandaB's theory is correct about an older sibling of another student, then perhaps the parent of this older child was made aware of what happened and possible evidence that needed to be retrieved that got left behind. And so went looking. Just a thought, however farfetched...

And, aside from what you mention above, I think it's far more important for Kyron that the family make themselves readily available to LE, comfort and care for the other children in the family, stay nourished and try to get some sleep, as difficult as that is, rather than making media appearances at this time. I'm sure those who are/have volunteered don't mind waiting for a public "thank you" from the family - I certainly wouldn't. JMHO ~

- 9:00am - unknown by whom or where. LE would not give the info.

- late morning - student saw Kyron at a south entrance of the school.

this has got to be part of the profile, imo.
busy visitor day @ school. not a coincidence. not a minor offender. adult planning. someone Kyron had reason to trust talked him into something unplanned during a very exciting and rules-relaxed day at school. imo

such as:
"hi Kyron - oh can you come out to the van and help us carry our project into the science fair?"

The article mentions other school security issues too, such as "Procedures have reduced, but not eliminated, the dangers of strangers on campuses. According to Portland school security officers, most people who trespass at schools are minors -- typically dropouts, former students or students from other schools -- who show up looking to cause trouble".

I do not want to attack the school here, but our school ALWAYS makes us wear visitor tags for ALL events except those that are not during regular school hours! How I wish Skyline would have had the same foresight!
