An odd thing to say. imo.

Here's why; the coastal area is closer, Hwy 26 goes from Portland to the coast, and central Or, is a mountain range away.
Does someone he knows live there in Central Oregon?
Lots of people from Southern Oregon know him, why not say that?
I'm just wondering, that all.

You never know, Central Oregon is closer (3 - 3 1/2 hours) than way down in Southern Oregon... =)

I was thinking about this while I was at the pool with my kids today (websleuths, always on my miiiind...) and I thought of something about the talent show. That may have been a student-body only show. When our school has a talent show, they do one at night for the parents and siblings, then one during the school day for the student body. The daytime one is students only, because there isn't enough room for all the kids and then all the parents/siblings, too. So that would easily explain why TH wasn't there and didn't plan to be there. I think it's looking far more plausable that he left on his own accord or was lured out of the school. About that quarry... maybe he went to look for frogs in the water and fell in?

I want so badly for this to end well. Every time I check in, I hope there will be a "found" notice by his name.

Today's presser is about half way down the page. It doesn't include the 'criminal investigation' part. I've been unable to find a video that includes it.

Kyron Horman search turns up no new clues, investigators say today

He certainly said he couldn't answer because of an ongoing criminal investigation.

I've searched through articles and websites since, and while they mention other things the principal said, NONE of them say anything about 'criminal investigation'. And I can't find a full video of the press conference, short as it was. I have to believe the reporters heard what we did, and noticed how abruptly Gates ended the presser and escorted the principal out.

I believe they were asked by LE to sit on this and not report it yet.

This has become very scary for Kyron. I do not feel hopeful that he is okay.

How do I get to the forensic astrology forum for KH?

Here's the first post for Kyron. You'll have to scroll through the rest of that thread to look for more posts on him.

Maybe he did not want to do the talent show. Maybe he is shy and thought it would be better to hide away.

I'm also thinking LE asked the reporters to keep it out of videos and articles.

By the way, if you haven't lived there, you might have NO idea about the blackberry and raspberry brambles. They grow higher than your head. They make a terrible thicket. The canes can be as thick as your arm. Very tough, awful going. The wild roses likewise. VERY BAD area to be lost in.

I just have nagging feeling from the first that he was taken by a maniac, not lost. I hope I am very WRONG.

I so hope they find him soon.
My heart goes out to him and his loved ones.

Police Bive Subtle Clues in Kyron Horman’s Disappearance

“Additionally, it is well known that that Kyron’s step mother dropped him off at school at 8:30am on Friday. She has told police that the last time she saw the 7 year old is when she left at 8:45am. Now, police have communicated that someone saw Kyron at 9am but they refuse to say who saw him, where at and what the circumstances where. The 9am event and mystery witness may hold the key to what happened to Kyron that fateful morning.”

I hope it wasn't someone moving large boxes.

The Multnomah County Sheriffs Office has held twice daily news breifings and have had few details for those listening. Reading between the lines, however, can tell us a lot.

First, the police have classified the search as a criminal investigation. This likely means they have ruled out the idea that Kyron walked away from the school on his own. Authorities know something that tells them Kyron was forced to leave Skyline Elementary.

First post on here and on site generally but feel I have to as this case is just so baffling as it is heartbreaking.

I am in the UK so about to go to bed again with Kyron on my mind. I pray that there is some positive news in the morning when I return to site.

I cannot imagine the torment all the parents/family are going through when they do not know what has happened - idk is not knowing worse than knowing? As a parent of two young daughters, the thought of them being alone, scared, hurting is terrifying.

Please be found soon Kyron

Any more info in that article? For some reason I can't get any of the links to open.

Certainly a possibility. Seems like hewould want to wait until after lunch to hide since the show wasn't until 1pm. Who knows? The entire situation with him disappearing while at school is very disconcerting.

"So what have authorities learned over the past 5 days of investigation? It seems they have learned enough to eliminate the idea that Kyron left on his own, enough to focus on specific geographic areas in their search and enough to avoid questions about the presence of a stranger inside Skyline Elementary school on Friday morning, June 4th.

This is good news in way, it means that law enforcement is doing their job and getting closer to finding Kyron."

I also had a hard time with the article opening, it took a while. This was the conclusion.

Yes. I believe they also know the "who." I think this is a very delicate situation and I think the police are handling it as such.
