After principal says "criminal investigation".

Boy, this just keeps on getting stranger and stranger...LE won't say a word, won't indicate which way this is going at all. I have to think they know something, but I hope they are not simply searching as in recovery mode by this time...usually this is about the timeframe. And yet they are asking for more tips? Nothing is panning out? am so confused...

I kinda feel like LE is giving the press and the public "Busy work" while they are off doing what it is they need to do.

ETA: I'm fine with LE doing that if that's what it takes.

If it was my child,God forbid and it was necessary to keep any info close to LE vest,that would be fine.I believe the purpose of the presser is to keep the public aware he's not been found,keep your eyes and ears open for him.And they are still working the case,whoever took him,this is not going away.Hopefully the person will get scared and drop him off somewhere,otherwise LE will keep going till they're caught.I don't care if there's no new info being put out,as long as I know they're still working it.

That just left us all w/ a lot more questions and wondering WTH is going on out there! They know SOMETHING that they are not willing to share. I can't understand why if it could possibly help locate the boy. I would be sick to see it end tragically because no one could get accurate and timely information. This case has been frustrating from the very beginning! My head hurts!

Maybe the info they know will not help find Kyron. Maybe if the info they know got out, it would hinder their attemps to find Kyron.

IMO if they had info that would help find him, they would not hesitate to release that info.

I feel like they do have something, but can't share it.
Having the pressers about giving tips can just be a way to distract us.

Not if it will hinder the investigation.

LE knows what they should say and when they should say it for the sake of the investigation.

The last thing we need is a slip up from a school staff member that will hurt the investigation.

I can understand that point of view. I would not want them to say something that could get someone off in the long run; but, honestly, can they not say something? Why even have a presser?

If this boy is truly missing the public needs more info to help locate him quickly. At this point, I just want this sweet boy home!! That last presser just left me feeling sick to my stomach!

If it was a child, or really anyone that saw Kyron, that person's life might be at risk.

Again, anyone else see anything about the appointment being confirmed? Either for Friday or Monday?

The only thing I read was the mom made a mistake, the appointment was for Monday, not Friday the day Kyron went missing.

I agree. I hope they do know a lot more and possibly where he is. I hope that is why they are not releasing information.:sick:

And Gates stepped in and then whisked him away pretty abruptly.

I think the principal made a booboo and let slip something he should have kept to himself.

I must've spaced off and not paid attention. In what context did he say it? I heard him say his kids also go to the school. I heard a reporter ask a question (but didn't hear the question) the principal started to answer and the LE guy stepped in. Did anyone hear the question and is that when the principal said criminal investigation?

IMO they may know what happened. Maybe it involves a minor and they can not discuss it. Or maybe they need to find Kyron before they can discuss it. Or maybe they are working on delicate info to be able to bring forth charges, and will discuss it after that.

There is a reason they are not talking. I'm not interested in knowing the info they are not putting out there. They have reasons not to share it at this time and I respect that. They know what they are doing. FBI is on scene also. I'm sure they are helping decide what needs to be released to the public and what does not need to be released.

LE uses media as a tool that best works in the favor of their investigation. If THEY NEED us to know more, we will know more.

KGW 8 just showed a helicopter shot of some searchers and they said they were about 100 yards down Sheltered Nook Road...
