I am catching up, yet again. Is there any proof that he was to be in the talent show?
The only reason I think he wasn't was because of him being a shy kid.

But, if it is a fact he was, I find it odd that first of all the teachers didn't wonder where he was, and second that family wasn't there to support. Also SM did not post anything on her facebook about his upcoming performance, nervousness, ect and from the looks of it, it appears she would have, if he was really supposed to be in it.
She has pictures of other middle of the day event in his class that she was part of. Such as the bridge project he did in the spring.
It also shows the younger daughter in the classroom playing with the big kids and talks about her grading the projects... so she seems really hands on in his class.

Ok what a long ramble... I take it from all this that he wasn't really in the show, or she would have been more involved.

Someone brought this up yesterday. The parent of another child said Kyron was supposed to perform. This is just my opinion, but I'd bet the stepmom wouldn't have gone to the talent show because of the time.

It was scheduled for 1 p.m., and she has an 18-month-old. That's prime nap time for most toddlers.

I can't help but think that she was less concerned at Kyron's absence than she might have been because the last time she saw him, he was with a parent.

Kyron's abductor was sophisticated. He/she went into a school and [got Kyron/lured him/encourage Kyron to leave because Kyron knew this person] without anyone seeing him/her. Newest sicko does not fit the same profile.

Yes, I agree ; the second abduction attempt was crude. It was in the open,and in view of another adult. Also,grabbing the child's backpack was not thought out at all ; my kids' schools all taught safety lessons, and one lesson dealt with slipping out of backpack straps and running away from a would be abducter.

I think that the person(s) who last saw Kyron around 9:00 saw who he was with,and LE is aware of this info. Statements indicating that LE is confining their search to the Portland area, and that they believe this to be an isolated incident,are,I believe,mostly aimed at the person who took this child. He/she is under some quite heavy surveillance at this time,I think....

I don't think I've EVER seen LE so protective of a family as I have seen them be toward the Hormans. They are VERY protective of them.
