No search warrant on Horman household - someone received tip that they search warrant for.

It is normal for 24 police liason at household

Read a statement from teacher, just saying kids miss Kyron and they are continuing with regular routine

Normal to have the liaison with the family. So they can call in to the agencies appropriately. So they can assist the family with their needs.

Absolutely false that a search warrant was issued for the Horman household.

LE activity around house last night was asked about. LE said it was media activity and stay off private property. lol

Gates was asked a question and he snipped back "that is absolutely incorrect"

Did anyone hear the question?

ETA: Y'all answered before I asked. Thanks!

No specific questions about search will be answered

"Very close to being finished with that process" - which process - anyone hear?

While watching this press conference . . .

I think it's obvious that the police have no suspects and have not had any credible leads.

It's not really their fault though -- it's a very unique situation to probably have a child taken directly from a school.

WOW - that is an eye opener.

I did not think a child would leave on his own - but apparantly he might.

Scary.

This makes me think maybe Kyron could have walked off on his own unnoticed.

I can attest to this. My son at about Kyron's age was attending a kid's golf clinic and he WALKED home clear across the course by himself. He was not an adventurous kid at that age, and he still is not now, 10 years later. The leader was a late 60's age volunteer and she was just lecturing and demonstrating for the 7 year old kids, not allowing them to hit as the clinic was supposed to be done. He was insulted at being treated like "a baby" and bored so he got up and left the group. I had no idea that he even knew how to walk home (nearly a mile as there are two 18 hole courses at this club)! I was terrified, even though he had made it home and safe coming past a large lake AND a bridge over a rushing stream area. I immediately went back to the check in tent for the youth clinic to let them know he was home and safe, and the leader had returned with the other kids and never had the slightest clue that she was missing one of them! He had never done anything remotely like that before then, nor has he since that time. He just got the idea in his head to do it, and he did!

I believe in the beginning Gates said that media increase around the house and reminded everyone to stay off private property.

So many 'I will not comment on that - or I will not comment on our search'...not berating the media but does not want media around cause it slows down process of search.

I totally agree...I'm trying to read between the lines of this presser but it seems that this is a case that is growing colder by the day. I hope this is not true.

Saying media slowing process down because SAR has to call in if media following them. So don't do that.

Running a tight ship!

about 35years ago, when i was 7 or 8, we moved to a new town and on the first day that i attended the new school, i got on the wrong bus to go home. the driver didnt notice a strange kid on the bus until all the kids had been delivered and i was still there. i hadnt even learned my address yet. it was a small school in a rural community so the driver was able to figure out where i belonged from what i was able to tell him and he jumped his normal route and took me home. of course, when i didnt get off the bus like i was supposed to my mother called the school. with no cell phones, i remember it being a bit of a mess to get everyone informed that i was safe, and several calls came into the house that night from folks who had heard about it but never heard the outcome. just saying, children often get turned around or confused, even in places they should be familiar with. i dont really think Kyron just wandered off, but i didnt think nadia bloom did either and i was wrong about that. i pray he is found soon.

A similar thing happened to me. The bus driver never checked to see which stop I was supposed to be let off on. My mom was waiting at the bus stop. When I didn't get off the bus, she asked where I was. He said, "I let her off back down the road". My mom said I was walking down the road with tears streaming down my face because I had not idea where I was.

IMO, Gates isn't doing himself or the case any favors by being so short and un-forthcoming with the media. In situations like this, the media can be your best friends.

Did he say they are looking for a living Kyron Horman?
