Authorities are searching for a man who was reported missing on Monday after he didnt return from picking mushrooms in the Tillamook State Forest.
Michael Scott Lund, 49, was in the area of Drift Creek Forest Road near milepost 2 on Highway 6, about 30 miles east of Tillamook. A friend of Lund reported him missing.
Lund was described as a 5-foot-10, 220-pound white man with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray flannel shirt, tan pants and a baseball hat.
Lunds family said he does not suffer from any health or psychological issues, according to the Tillamook County Sheriffs Office.
He is not equipped with food, water or other necessities for an extended stay in the wilderness, deputies said.
The Tillamook County Sheriffs Office, Washington County Sheriffs Office, Mountain Wave Search & Rescue, Pacific Northwest Rescue and the Oregon Department of Forestry are looking for Lund.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Tillamook County Sheriffs Office at 503-815-1911 or 911 if necessary.
