Michael was last seen 02/18/2026 after running out of gas in the Vida area. (His vehicle was found and is of no further interest.)

According to family members, Naughton had been camping in his car near Gate Creek Road in Vida.

His mother told authorities that Naughton walked into town to purchase gasoline. He was dropped off and headed back toward his vehicle with a full can when last seen. His mother reported there has been no phone activity since their last conversation.

Agreed, he is currently on court ordered probation and under guardianship (incapacitation) in the State of Idaho, and has had contollled substance and alcohol use criminal charges since that appointment. The drugs/alcohol probably have not helped any mental or physical issues he has suffered. The most current case appears to have a warrant/detention order issued but is currently showing as "inactive".
