Right-wing patriots in a deadly scuffle.

“Planning for a cross-country march to “restore America” — which is related to the Oregon nature preserve standoff — appears to have hit a snag when one of its organizers shot the other co-founder Monday afternoon during a drunken argument over a gun.

Sheriff’s deputies in Grayson County, Texas, have not released details about the fatal shooting, but social media posts by right-wing “patriots” associated with militants occupying an Oregon nature preserve identified the victim and shooter as the organizers of the Paul Revere 2016 Final March To Restore America.”

So the electric utility has no way to cut off a non-paying customer without cutting off all of their neighbors too? That seems....unusual.

I don’t know where you are getting that from, but normally that would be done at the electric meter on the side of the building. A second way it could be done, would be to disconnect the service drop line from the utility pole. Either way could be problematic in this case.

That said, if LE really wanted to, they could find a way to do it.

Oh, my.

Deceased (and alleged intoxicated) was apparently a friend of Ritzheimer's, according to Ritzheimer on social media.

This subset of folks appears to be wound up pretty tight. Fast on the conspiracy draw, they are.

Oh... The irony. Good lord- what fools.

Too bad Bundy and his cohorts are tea totalers due to their religion.

I'm behind and tired. Did they request underwear really? If so, were they requesting lds garments or "gentile" undies?
Pads and tampons from what I saw!

I thought so too? It must be a lie... who has ever heard of such a thing?

I can see that that's possible. The folks "down line" would be affected if the line were cut.

However, why not cut the phones and the internet? Almost certainly there's no cell phone service out there, so the Bundy's would have to be relying on land lines. Easy to but phone access, although maybe that, too, could only be cut at the nearest telephone pole to protect "down-line" customers. This might put phone workers at risk.

It's possible they could get the downline customers to sacrifice phone and internet service for the time being, and then cut it at the nearest neighbor up-line. They could get the down-line customers some kind of alternate service? Satellite?

The mm say they will only use violence in defense if LE starts it. Would they consider cutting off power violence? I'm not suggesting anyone should attempt it because I believe the mm will open fire, but it sure demonstrates their hypocrisy, doesn't it?

Blue, plz don't make me find a quote, but I THINK what they said was they would not use violence unless LE attempted to stop their mission. (Paraphrased).

IOW, simply showing up to arrest them or close off the perimeters might "force" the Blundys to pop a cap in someone's azz. Or lots of caps in lots of azzes. And it will all be the fault of LE. Of course.

I think these guys are despicable. And, oh look! They get their way!

Yes, they said if they attempt to take it back or if they have to defend themselves. Cutting the power off isn't a direct threat though, so if they shoot someone who is cutting the wires I don't think it's self-defense. It's just an invitation to enjoy a more rustic retreat. Although I'm sure they could spin it and justify whatever they do.

I wonder who they think is paying to keep them in heat and light at the moment. Taxpayers are footing the bill for their LARPing party!

One of my favorites, as a matter of fact I've got two of them here right now. They're going to fly out my extra supply of used BVD's out tonight. It's interesting seeing the edit code on this post. "Grey poupon cakes we like", that's pretty weird just like the rest of this stuff... I love it..

Oregon standoff: Harney County won't host community meeting with Bundy as headliner

By Elliot Njus | The Oregonian/OregonLive
on January 13, 2016 at 6:14 PM, updated January 13, 2016 at 6:15 PM

http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/01/oregon_standoff_harney_county_1.html

“Harney County has told an Ammon Bundy-affiliated group of locals that it can't hold a planned community meeting at the county-owned fairgrounds.

The location for the meeting has become a wedge between the Harney County Committee of Safety and the county government, once loosely allied in their desire for Bundy to leave town.

The self-appointed committee planned to host Bundy and Montana militia leader Ryan Payne on Friday to outline the militants' exit plan. They've said the 7 p.m. meeting will go on, with or without a meeting space furnished by the county or another community group.”

What woman heads off on adventure like this without proper supplies?

Seriously. But when you consider the company they've chosen to keep, the question answers itself.

  • #876
The militiamen don’t seem too grateful for the supplies they are receiving.

They should be grateful. If they sell them dildos on Ebay, they might be able to afford their underwear and some snacks.

I can't believe him saying "it's time to come out". Is he sending some kind of mixed message? This is hysterical now they're sexing sex toys on Ebay. It doesn't come any funnier than this..
