Like he was thinking this was the old west and shooting anyone that got in your way was a good thing. Or maybe he was Super Man with a blue tarp and was bullet proof maybe..

Fixed.

Interesting reading about Ammon's attorney. I did some checking to make sure a letter posted on twitter from the Oregon State Bar, was the same Michael Arnold who was reprimanded in 2008.

Scroll down to his name. C. Michael Arnold.

Florence removes temporary city prosecutor

The coastal city of Florence has removed its temporary prosecutor during an investigation of claims that he furnished alcohol to a minor, the Lane County District Attorney's office said.

Now to verify a tweet about Blaine Cooper (who many have been asking where he went after Lavoy's death) I saw a rap sheet a mile long!

Great guys. SA's history in the Daily Mail, a wonderful attorney, clean as a whistle & BC...

eta, this all may be old news but I just jumped in recently.

Thanks! So it's actually clips he posts. I was picturing something real time. Interesting stuff. They so naively believe what they say. I almost feel sorry for them. They work on a 12-year old level.

Sorry, but I was smarter than that at 12. Four year old, maybe.

Good! 'Cause I'm Jewish and I'm voting for her!!!

I'm feeling the Bern myself, so their anti-Hillary smack was actually a (lone) point of agreement. :D

They get hit with taxes and fees because they're raising cattle - healthy food! - and the government wants us to eat unhealthy, GMO, processed food.

Or maybe this particular strain of ranchers has a persecution complex.

Hm. Watch Cowspiracy

http://www.cowspiracy.com/about/

Animal agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation, water consumption and pollution, is responsible for more greenhouse gases than the transportation industry, and is a primary driver of rainforest destruction, species extinction, habitat loss, topsoil erosion, ocean “dead zones,” and virtually every other environmental ill. Yet it goes on, almost entirely unchallenged.

As Andersen approaches leaders in the environmental movement, he increasingly uncovers what appears to be an intentional refusal to discuss the issue of animal agriculture, while industry whistleblowers and watchdogs warn him of the risks to his freedom and even his life if he dares to persist.

As eye-opening as Blackfish and as inspiring as An Inconvenient Truth, this shocking yet humorous documentary reveals the absolutely devastating environmental impact large-scale factory farming has on our planet, and offers a path to global sustainability for a growing population.

Well, Blaine's rap sheet is from the NCIC which I can't do a records search on to link it. Here's the twitter link of a Forbes reporter who interviewed BC last night. The rap sheet is there & a recorded interview also is linked by a tweet of hers. Be sure to click "tweets & replies".

I'm going back and forth and am almost relieved by the time I vote in the primary there might be only one left.

Hero Bundy from jail: "those 4 still there weren't part of the core group and have a different agenda than mine. "

Feds: Moved blockade 2 miles up the road closer to the refuge this AM, in a dip that puts them out of media's sight.

Remember the drought in California? Water is used to grow alfalfa AND to water the cattle, when the water could be used for people.

Why do ranchers get first choice and two grabs at the water, especially during a severe drought? Oh, right, because they're persecuted and over-taxed.

I can honestly feel sorry for folks who understand that their way of life is threatened, that the world they thought they knew and felt was promised to them forever simply doesn't exist.

Someone, some group, or some thing always ends up as the scapegoat. Now its the feds being blamed, and sadly, not entirely for no reason, just not for the reasons these folks believe to be the case.

There has never been a time when private interests didn't challenge the right of the federal government to claim land for the public good. Never.

And it has always been the case that private interests opposed to public lands have used lowly regular folks as pawns. Always.

I listen to these peeps sitting around their campfire, afraid of every noise and shadow, and I understand just how easy it is for clear-eyed private interests to exploit the ignorance and fear of these pawns.

I wish these guys would stop coming to Idaho - several live here unfortunately, but others keep heading this way. It sounds like Blaine Cooper steals from every event he is involved in. - This time he took the night vision equipment. What a loser.

Ammon Bundy's attorneys: jailed leader can't do any more to end occupation
By Melissa Binder | The Oregonian/OregonLive

http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/01/ammon_bundy_to_holdouts.html

“Ammon Bundy's attorneys announced Saturday that "there's nothing further that can be done" on their end to bring closure to a 29-day occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Harney County.”

*

“Bundy's attorneys captured a video of a phone call to their client on Friday, in which Bundy asks the holdouts at the wildlife refuge to "please stand down."”

*

“Attorney Mike Arnold said the message reached the remaining four occupants still encamped at the wildlife refuge 30 miles south of Burns. They also connected the militants to a pro bono attorney, he said, per Bundy's request.

"They're scared and alone," Arnold said during a Saturday afternoon news conference in front of the federal courthouse in downtown Portland. "One of Mr. Bundy's goals was to refer them to competent legal counsel while they're out there. We acheived that."”

Different agendas...

The one thing they apparently agree on:
The federal government has no right to own this land.

Bundy and friends:

Government is corrupt and not following the Constitution.
We need more land for grazing because we want more money.
Hoping to fight this all the way to the Supreme Court.

Stragglers:

The government is corrupt and filled with criminals who should be arrested.
Arrest Hillary.
Hoping for a miracle from God.
WAKE UP AMERICA!
This isn't Nazi Germany.

Unless Bundy and friends can tell them they can walk away without anyone being charged and arrested they're not going to listen to them. I thought getting the attorney on board might do it but they hung up on him!

I think it's going to end with them surrendering but I don't know when or what the exact circumstances will be. Maybe one of them will get rabies.

Finicum, Bundy in Iron County before deadly encounter
The Spectrum - a part of USA Today Network
Haven Scott, 9:46 p.m. MST January 29, 2016

http://www.thespectrum.com/story/ne...iron-county-before-deadly-encounter/79541424/

“National events involving the standoff in Oregon recently turned local for the small community of Cedar City when leaders of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge occupation met with at least one local politician and several ranchers days before the deadly encounter with the FBI and Oregon state authorities to discuss their options on grazing rights.

On Jan. 13, Robert "LaVoy" Finicum and Ryan Bundy left the refuge in Oregon and came to Cedar City to discuss issues with grazing rights. Thirteen days later, Finicum died.

Iron County Commissioner David Miller said he attended the meeting but declined to say who else was there.

Garfield County Commissioner Leland Pollock and Piute County Commissioner Darin Bushman said they were not at the meeting.

*

“Before the ranchers at the meeting were asked to sign the document, three people were asked to leave the meeting -- representatives of the non-partisan group, Citizens for Government Accountability in Southern Utah*, were at the meeting but were "kicked out" when the discussion turned into discussion of "the next legal steps."”

A whole lot more ...

*Hint: (The Koch Bros. don't like the Citizens for Government Accountability in Southern Utah.)
