Unless Bundy and friends can tell them they can walk away without anyone being charged and arrested they're not going to listen to them. I thought getting the attorney on board might do it but they hung up on him!

I think it's going to end with them surrendering but I don't know when or what the exact circumstances will be. Maybe one of them will get rabies.

Do they really think they're gonna sit there until Hillary gets arrested??? :banghead::banghead:What a shock they'll be in for when she gets elected!:scared::happydance:

Finicum, Bundy in Iron County before deadly encounter
The Spectrum - a part of USA Today Network
Haven Scott, 9:46 p.m. MST January 29, 2016

http://www.thespectrum.com/story/ne...iron-county-before-deadly-encounter/79541424/

“National events involving the standoff in Oregon recently turned local for the small community of Cedar City when leaders of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge occupation met with at least one local politician and several ranchers days before the deadly encounter with the FBI and Oregon state authorities to discuss their options on grazing rights.

On Jan. 13, Robert "LaVoy" Finicum and Ryan Bundy left the refuge in Oregon and came to Cedar City to discuss issues with grazing rights. Thirteen days later, Finicum died.

Iron County Commissioner David Miller said he attended the meeting but declined to say who else was there.

Garfield County Commissioner Leland Pollock and Piute County Commissioner Darin Bushman said they were not at the meeting.

*

“Before the ranchers at the meeting were asked to sign the document, three people were asked to leave the meeting -- representatives of the non-partisan group, Citizens for Government Accountability in Southern Utah*, were at the meeting but were "kicked out" when the discussion turned into discussion of "the next legal steps."”

A whole lot more ...

*Hint: (The Koch Bros. don't like the Citizens for Government Accountability in Southern Utah.)

I can't make sense of this.

Scott Holyoak, another Iron County rancher, said there are families in the area that have been ranching since the days of the Mormon settlers.

“Then along comes the federal agencies and said if you want to keep that right you need a permit,” Holyoak said. “Well that was all right at first because we do want to protect the land. But if you look at the permit, it gives you permission, not a right. So you give up a right to take a privilege, and now you have signed away your rights to people who can revoke them any time they want to.”

??

And which amendment grants the right to make a profit using land you don't own?

There is a new video which I think was done recently although I did not view it live. Its about 29 minutes long. The sound quality kind of iffy at times.

The interesting part is when they are talking on the phone with a guy named “Doug” who is apparently some kind of constitutional sheriff. He might have been someone from the Cliven Bundy tete-a-tete.

There was another video of a dog who wandered into their camp this morning. I think the dog might have had a hidden microphone and spy camera on it. (maybe)

They really have a problem with the Clintons, especially Hillary.

Which is really unfortunate for them, since they are hoping for a presidential pardon. It might be a good idea for them to start building a relationship with the next president.:thumb:

Hero Bundy from jail: "those 4 still there weren't part of the core group and have a different agenda than mine. "

Feds: Moved blockade 2 miles up the road closer to the refuge this AM, in a dip that puts them out of media's sight.

Note to Bundy: blow enough dogwhistles and a few rabid hounds are bound to show up.

Also interesting in that video, was the story about how they were guarding some machinery when the Bundy arrest happened, everybody else bugged out, they didn’t hear about it and they were left behind.

This is a good article on Sheriff Ward by a guy who's tweets some of us have followed:

USA TODAY
Sheriff in Oregon standoff no stranger to battle — and peacekeeping
USA Today
Gordon Friedman, (Salem, Ore.) Statesman Journal 5:12 a.m. EST January 30, 2016

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...-stranger-battle---and-peacekeeping/79532862/

“BURNS, Ore. — Dave Ward has stood on the battlefields of Somalia and Afghanistan. But he’s made his mark by fighting for peace at home.

A man who reads the Bible and the Constitution in bed, Ward is the sheriff of Harney County, Ore., the site of a battlefield of a different sort. For the past month, Ward negotiated to try and bring a peaceful end to the armed standoff between federal agents and militants holed up at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, protesting what they say is federal tyranny in the nation’s West.

“We want to see them go home to their families and consider how their actions affect this community,” he said. “We all want a safe resolution to this situation, and to go back to our peaceful way of life.”

Much more...

Weeell......yeah. Just, yeah.

'splains a lot. :notgood:

Ammon Bundy's attorneys: jailed leader can't do any more to end occupation
By Melissa Binder | The Oregonian/OregonLive
on January 30, 2016 at 1:37 PM, updated January 30, 2016 at 2:06 PM

http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/01/ammon_bundy_to_holdouts.html

“Ammon Bundy's attorneys announced Saturday that "there's nothing further that can be done" on their end to bring closure to a 29-day occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Harney County.”

*

“Bundy's attorneys captured a video of a phone call to their client on Friday, in which Bundy asks the holdouts at the wildlife refuge to "please stand down."”

*

“Attorney Mike Arnold said the message reached the remaining four occupants still encamped at the wildlife refuge 30 miles south of Burns. They also connected the militants to a pro bono attorney, he said, per Bundy's request.

"They're scared and alone," Arnold said during a Saturday afternoon news conference in front of the federal courthouse in downtown Portland. "One of Mr. Bundy's goals was to refer them to competent legal counsel while they're out there. We acheived that."”

I find it despicable that Ammon is washing his hands of the delusional simpletons he was responsible for bringing out to his sad, crazy-hate cause. And in turn, Ammon was an unwelcomed (by the Hammonds) participant in protesting for the Hammonds.

It's like sliding farther and farther down the tree of stupid. If you are two degrees away from being unwanted by the Hammonds, then frankly that is rather sad.

So smoke up, eat some more Pork Rinds that will ensure you need a motorized cart at Walmart, and talk crazy azz hate-spew. That will make the Hammonds appear to be rational people.

Frankly, I already think the Hammonds seem normal by comparison, so maybe it is working.

Anything for a headline. A couple of dozen folks taking up the martyr refrain doesn't sound like a re-energized protest to me. It sounds instead like the call to revolution has been an abject failure on every level.

I think what's being forgotten here regarding Finicum's death is that he swore ahead of time he would not be taken alive, along with alot of talk about shooting LE. In that context, reaching for his belt in the critical moment would have been a much greater risk to LE than if he was randomly heading home from church in his Sunday best and toting only a bible. So....context is everything, and it supports LE's need for forcibly responding to a threat.

They tell that story to anyone and everyone who will listen. Since I have watched alot of their videos, I would guess I have heard it or a variation at least ten times.

David has uploaded a new "Response to Ammon Bundy" video. Very short and doesn't make much sense to me but I can be thickheaded sometimes.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sgMQDxpuO_E

It's more of the same ramblings we've been hearing, but not presented in any sort of cohesive manner I would not consider a response or statement. Just more blah, blah, pardon, guns, charges, wake up America.

In one of the variations did he say he saw them leaving? I thought he mentioned seeing women and children getting out, everyone leaving all their stuff and their weapons behind, and for some reason the four of them didn't take the opportunity to bolt.

I think so, yes.

I hope the dog made it home ok.
