From John Sepulveda, the OPB journalist who wrote the profile about David Fry; he tweets that Ryan Bundy's attorney denies that Ryan was shot:
twitter.com/JohnLGC/status/694035110430138371

Also somewhat interestingly, seeing as how they don't trust the system:

@OPB</a> confirms that as of now, 6 of the 7 arrested in OR are rep'ed by court appointed attorneys
twitter.com/JohnLGC/status/692897328676483073

I broke the links because WS interprets them as videos and won't let me post.
He also tweeted that he's working on something on Jeff Banta.

Thank you for the updates Dr. Know?!

I relayed the latest to my husband and asked him "Do you know why they're called three-percenters?"
"That's the percentage of their brains they're using?"

I really feel for Sheriff Ward. I'll bet he does want to go back to his quiet life as sheriff in a sleepy town. His life has been out of his control and he's had to deal with these people for months. How many of the petition signers are even from Harney County?

Just a guess - no one is going to resign.

Ammon Bundy to appeal to another judge to be released pending trial, court records show

http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/02/ammon_bundy_to_appeal_to_anoth.html

&#8220;Lawyers for Ammon Bundy this week will challenge U.S. Magistrate Judge Staci F. Beckerman's order to keep Bundy in custody pending trial.
They will ask U.S. District Court Judge Michael W. Mosman on Tuesday to revoke Beckerman's order.&#8221;

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_W._Mosman
He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Just wondering if Ammon Bundy thinks he's going to be a fairer judge because of that.

How do they justify asking for the change?

http://media.oregonlive.com/portland_impact/other/bundyappealdetention.pdf

Basically they're saying that the court failed to show sufficient grounds that he can't be released on GPS surveillance or some such conditions.

18 U.S.C.
§
3145(b) provides that "f a person is ordered detained by a
magistrate .. the person may file with the court having original
jurisdiction over the offense, a motion for revocation ...
of the order.&#8221;

I estimate 300 locals here supporting law enforcement and officials, 150 protesting Finicum's death. Tense.

Memo to "standoff supporters":

This is what democracy looks like. Y'all get to hold your signs up and holler, and people who disagree get to hold up their signs and holler back, and the media writes and tweets with different perspectives and the rest of us get to decide whether we even care 2 tiddly winks about any of y'all or what y'all hollering about, and if enough folks care maybe something will change, though towards your position or away from it no one can say right now.

Surely is a messy way of gitting things done, no doubt about it, but it's what our founding fathers thought, when they wrote the actual Constitution, was a better way of going about things than everyone shooting each other dead and whoever was left alive won the argument.

Y'all don't need to join us here in the 21st century, but y'all might just want to set your sights on growing your minds into the 18th century.

Is it revenge of the idiots? He asked for people foolish enough to take a armed stand against the Government. Now he'll have to wait for them to "wise" up. How long will that take, it's anybody's guess..

They can't leave because then they'd have to admit to themselves that they have no idea why they're even there and there was no point going to begin with:
"If we don't stand up 'til the end on this, then why did we come here in the first place?" asked Sean Anderson, who had recently moved with his wife to Riggins, a community of 400 people in Idaho County.

"He has no desire to go anywhere but home to provide for his family,'' Casey told the court. "He's done in Harney County.''

Oh how cute. He sure hasn't shown any concern for providing for his family over the past month.

http://lmtribune.com/idaho-county-s...cle_5f8a8df6-c909-11e5-9c96-ef3b26bbd71c.html

GRANGEVILLE &#8212; Sean and Sandy Anderson of Riggins, who are two of the four people still holed up at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge near Burns, Ore., are &#8220;not criminals,&#8221; Idaho County Sheriff Doug Giddings said Monday.

I guess he didn't read this article:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-alcohol-convictions-willing-die-beliefs.html

But the Andersons, Giddings said, &#8220;have been very good citizens in Riggins. They&#8217;re not criminals &#8212; well, they are now. But they&#8217;re not some militia, this armed militia. They want the heck out of there. They never planned to be in there in the first place but now they can&#8217;t afford to leave. They have to defend themselves.&#8221;

Oops... I hate it when that happens...when I didn't intend to be part of an armed occupation but somehow it just comes to me and I have no idea how I even got there :0
