Circumstances of Recovery: The body of a male was discovered in the Columbia River near Caterpillar Island along the eastern shore of Washington State. The body was recovered near James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp, 4325 NE Marine Drive. Multnomah County Sheriff's Office (Oregon) is the lead investigating agency.

Discovered near Caterpillar Island but recovered near Broughton Beach? I think something must have been reported incorrectly... Caterpillar is around 14 miles NW of Broughton... the river flows NW... that would mean he would have had to move upstream from where he was discovered to where he was recovered. Maybe they meant Govt Camp or Hayden Island? Broughton is a popular swim beach this time of year and there are a lot of kayakers and jet skiers in that area as well. Big homeless camps a few miles east of there. Someone also died in a car wreck there and went down the embankment just a week ago about 4mi east - they recovered the driver in that one and there was no mention of a passenger but it was early in the morning and there was no mention on whether any windows were down / broken out - or even whether it was actually submerged or not. I don't know if they ID'd the driver in that one yet.

Allacciato is italian word, connected or laced in english.
I am super interested in the significance of this word. I couldn't find any slang, or anything really other than the literal lacing or connecting of something. A lot of shoes were mentioned. Couldn't find it as a surname either. Will be interesting to see what it meant to him when he is IDd.

From what I can gather the meaning is likely along the lines of 'buckle up' or 'buckled in' in regards to a seatbelt, or a motorcycle helmet.

In Italian-American if someone is "connected" it can be (usually jokingly) alluding to mafia connections. However, looking online, in Italian, I only see it used in the literal sense of connected, interlaced, intertwined.
