Salem police arrested a thirteen year old girl for the murder of her 16 month old niece. So far authorities said they don't believe the girl will be charged as an adult. The baby was staying at a home that inlcuded her aunt and grandmother. The mother of the baby was not at the residence. The link stated baby died from inflicted traumatic brain injury, but didn't say exactly how the injuries occurred. LE said they couldn't release any details at this time. Could this have been a terrible accident?

I would hope they would rule out an accident before charging a child with murder but you never know.

Hey Filly girl, I keep asking myself what would make this 13 year old kill this innocent little baby. I was hoping in my heart it was accidental, how sad.

How could it even be a consideration to charge a thirteen year-old child as an adult at all?
