Clackamas County deputies search for missing woman who is mentally ill

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding Sharon Hayes, 79, who is mentally ill and without her medication.

• She was last seen in the area of SE 82nd Ave and SE Sunnyside Rd.
• She has been missing for several days, possibly up to two weeks.
  
• Sharon has her service dog with her, a white Lhasa Apso named Bentley.
• It is unknown what she was last seen wearing.
  
• Call 911 and reference Clackamas Co Sheriff’s Office case #20-002507 if you see her.

The sheriff’s office told FOX 12 that she has been missing for several days, possibly up to two weeks.


Hayes has a service dog, a white Lhasa Apso named Bentley.

It is unknown what Hayes was last seen wearing.

Here is are obituaries for the woman in the FB post for Sharon Theresa Hayes. No photo or family information and one says she lived in WA but that could be an error or where family lives.

It occurs to me that someone who didn’t know she had died and couldn’t make contact with her thought she was missing. The report said she was last seen “prior to Feb 1” but that could have been any time before she died on December 27. JMO
