Skye was in relationship with male and suddenly broke contact with family. Male has taken phone access from Skye, driving a white, 2013 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van with Maryland plate #2GD2269.

According to a news release from Ontario Police Department on Aug. 7, Skye Thiel and the man she is believed to be traveling with may have been sighted near the Washington-Canada border on July 13.


“Skye is believed to be traveling together with boyfriend, Dustin Walls, 40,” it states.

A man taking away a phone from a woman says it all about him and the level of danger.
Van should be easy to spot, hopefully LE has received tips.

the last confirmed sighting of Thiel and the man she is believed to be traveling with was possibly near the Washington-Canada border on July 13. That tip surfaced after The Argus made an inquiry with authorities on Aug. 4, following referrals from county and state law enforcement agencies.

So this was all much ado about nothing?

Its interesting that someone would make a statement, and then someone else would repeat it, about him maybe taking her phone away. No evidence is shared nor any reason for the suspicion/allegation.

Seems to me this was all false from the start.

Is this a case where the thread suddenly disappears and we let them just go live their lives?

I'm not so sure. Skye's mom or relative, Eddy Thiel (Link) has posted a lot of past info on Dustin Joseph Walls from Delaware on her Facebook page. A good PI could see if like he has been in a mental institution, is true.
