I was thinking the EXACT same thing this morning even though I really try not to...
I have been keeping strange hours--- I woke up at 3 am this morning and took a walk through my quiet neighborhood. The stars were so bright. As I looked at them, I thought of Stephanie. It really hit me hard. I started to cry...

This past week, I have chatted with many people who are close to Stephanie...

As an aside to all of you--- One of these people I have been chatting with reads this forum religiously. She called it a "lifeline". A few days ago, when the forum seemed to be still, she asked if we were giving up. I gave her my word that I would never give up. I hope none of you will either.
You are all doing such a great job not just with your sleuthing but by giving hope.

Awwwwwwww...no of course we won't give up. We're here for Stephanie and those who love her for as long as it takes.

When I'm quiet, it just means I'm busy or tired or there's nothing going on to talk about. But Stephanie is always on my mind. There is so much I would like to talk about, but WS rules prevent me, even though sometimes I "slip". ;)

A few days ago, when the forum seemed to be still, she asked if we were giving up.

No -- just the opposite. If it's quiet on here, it's because data-mining and looking through all the details takes time. Thinking about what is important to focus on takes time. I allot 1-2 hours a day on Stephanie until she's found -- or until I've exhausted everything I can do. OR, until I get fed up with the people who are running (ruining?) this case whose initials are LA, EH, SL. Because it's only 3 people who really know what's going on: The Perp, Sherlock, and the Gatekeeper.

I'm focused on these:
1. Where is POI? Did he retreat to the familiar - his 20-year claim on Carberry Creek?

2. How he is communicating? No cell reception in that area so possible "friendly" house with Internet connection in the Carberry Creek area. Not many homes in that area.

3. What value Junior has. Highly emotional, overwrought, squirrely -- do I expect this guy to ever deliver good data to detective and lead him to Papa? Or is this just a dog and pony show for the public?

.

Are the comments under the article via the link or somewhere on their FB? I've waited an eternity - okay, maybe a wee exaggeration there - for them to load and still can't see them. :banghead:

I see them under the article.

Jackson County Search and Rescue crews have continued their efforts to find a missing Ruch woman — while an Applegate Valley man, named as a "person of interest" related to the disappearance of Stephanie Anne Warner, has left the area, detectives said.

Warner, 43, was last seen at the Fourth of July parade in Ashland.

The brown-eyed, red-haired, 5-foot-2-inch, 135-pound woman was wearing black pants and a pink tank top at the event, said Detective Eric Henderson.

"We've been busy on this case from day one," Henderson said. "This case has been strange from the start. And it seems to be getting stranger."

There is no indication Warner left the area, Henderson said. There has been no activity on her bank account, and her vehicle has been at the Sheriff's office since July 9, he said.

Warner's boyfriend, Lennie Laverne Ames, 60, was staying at Warren's home at the time of her disappearance and after. Initially deemed cooperative, Ames was named a "person of interest" in late August. He has since left the area for northern Oregon, Henderson said.

"Basically, we're not in communication with him," Henderson said. "We know where he is. But we're not talking to him about the case. We are doing a lot of searching."

Detectives and search-and-rescue crews have repeatedly searched Warner's home and surrounding area to no avail, Henderson said.

Crews were out Friday and again on Wednesday checking locations Warren was known to frequent either by herself or with others, he said.

"The Applegate Valley is such a huge, vast area," Henderson said. "You go down one dirt road and it splits off into more."

In late August, the sheriff's office partnered with friends, family and people who worked with Warner to distribute fliers in an attempt to shake loose information about her disappearance. But leads have been few in the case.

"We only got a few leads," Henderson said. "Unfortunately, none of them led anywhere."

Anyone with information about Warner's disappearance is asked to call the sheriff's tip line at 541-774-8333 or email [email protected].

I hate this article. Firstly, Sanne Specht, just who is "Warren"? I mean c'mon, really? Mostly though because it sounds like our Detective Henderson is giving up :(

Paraphrasing what I read Henderson say:
He knows where Ames is (presumably because of Junior) but he's not in communication with him about the case. He is searching for Stephanie in Applegate Valley but it's a big place, lots of dirt roads that lead to other dirt roads. Crews were out a week ago and on Wednesday searching for her.

I don't think he's giving up. He's suddenly traversing those mountain roads for a reason.

Idea for Henderson: Don't you think it would be easier to have the person who gave you the tip accompany you in your squad car?

I've created a Twitter acct for Stephanie. I have been signed up for Twitter since it started but have never really used it. So, basically I have no idea what I am doing.
So far, I do like the convenience of seeing only relevant news pages in my feed. I have re-tweeted all the tweeted news articles I could find regarding Stephanie.
If you are on Twitter, you can follow this account here: https://twitter.com/BringStephHome

OUOTP great job! The twitter account looks great!

I went to Stephanie's Property via Google Maps, using the coordinates that Neptune had posted earlier (Stephanie Warner's property 42°14'23.12"N 123° 4'21.14"W). I wanted to see where her Nissan Xterra was parked (shown in the news photos) in comparison to any vehicles on the property, captured by Google Images at an earlier date. The news photo from mailtribune.com, mentions that the photograph of Stephanie's Xterra, was provided by The Jackson County Sheriff's Department. It does not mention if the photo was taken exactly where they found the Xterra, or if it was moved prior to the photo being taken.
http://www.mailtribune.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20130802/NEWS07/308020363

If we are trying to establish if Stephanie drove her vehicle to her house and parked it that night/morning, we might be able to look at her parking habits to get clues. Did Stephanie park her vehicle in one certain location all of the time? Was there only one place to park on her property? Did she always park facing in or backing in? As mentioned earlier, did she always park in front of her house and never in the back?

There are many unknown variables, but lets assume for a moment that the Jackson County Sheriff's Department took this photograph exactly as they found the Nissan Xterra. It appears to be parked in facing East, near the row of trees, next to a field (South of the house). I am not familiar with the property, and I wish that I could drive there and see it first hand, so there is a lot of guess work on my end. Stephanie's friends or locals would have a better idea of her driving habits and be more familiar with her property.

How long did Stephanie live in that house and on the property? The Google Maps Images of Stephanie's house, from the street view, were taken in May of 2012. If she was living on the property at that time, did she always drive the Xterra, or did she have an older BMW or Volvo (possibly a Volvo 240)?

The reason that I am mentioning this, is because the Xterra in the Sheriff's photo, appears to be parked in the same spot (a year later) as an older Volvo 240 on the same property. The Xterra photo was most likely taken on July 9th of 2013 (news reports mention that they have had her Xterra since July 9th) and the Volvo appears to be parked in the same spot and way, but shown a year earlier, in May of 2012.

I am personally not going to make any conclusions on the data, other than if the Xterra and the Volvo were both parked in the same spot in the same way over the years, then this might show a parking pattern for Stephanie. If they swabbed the steering wheel for Touch DNA (which I sure hope that this basic step was not overlooked), and it has only Stephanie's DNA, then that might help support the theory that she might have at least made it to her house and parked her SUV, the night of July 4th/July 5th.

I am just catching up on this case, so please forgive me if this information has already been presented.

Stephanie's Nissan Xterra (Photo taken by the Sheriffs Department July 9th, 2013 ?). It appears to be facing East, photo taken from the drivers side.

Silver/White Car parked facing East, taken from passenger side. Possibly a Volvo 240. (Google Maps May 2012)

I did some car research overnight and also chatted online with a friend who is a "car guy".. Although, Volvo 240 series is the best bet but this could also be 84-86 5 series BMW. A better picture of the back, if possible, might help.

You can point posters to a comments section on an MSM article with a link but they can't be discussed here.

Thank you OUOTP! Neptune's list of Google Earth coordinates, has been very helpful, by pointing to the key places in this case. It is difficult to get a good shot of the vehicle's front, because of how the angles of the roads are. The Google Street View Car did not travel in front of the vehicle and I could not get any good angles from their current shots. It is safe to say that the Google Aerial View Shots are taken at a different time than the street view shots. LE can acquire a higher resolution of the original image if they need to use Google Images as evidence.

I was thinking that the car in Stephanie's Driveway might be one of the two, because it had some of the characteristics of an older style Volvo or BMW. I am glad that you were able to get an opinion by someone who knows more about cars. Thank you for the examples of the different kind of cars, they are very helpful!

Tune into KTVL tonite at 6.

There's nothing on KTVL FB. I hope this isn't another Seinfeld news moment. I'll be out so I will have to record it. Can you give us a hint?
