I've started the timeline and map thread with a summary of Stephanie's case. More to come.
OR OR Stephanie Anne Warner, 43, Ruch/Ashland Area, Timeline and Maps - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community
Zwiebel, Are you able to change the title of the media thread you started and use the word "media" in it?
I have such a bad memory and there are so many page..... WHO had.where are the photos of that car on Stefs property we thought might be a bmw?
Did Lennie Ames ever explain why he did not bother to report Stephanie missing or sound an alert?
I know there are plenty of reasons why that could happen - some people just don't recognize a dangerous situation when they see one, or know how and who they should alert. It's a shame though. If he had been a little better prepared, the searches for Stephanie could have begun a lot earlier, when there was less chance of potential evidence being compromised, and more chance of people remembering something.
He might have avoided being named as a person of interest too, if he had acted a little quicker when it was needed, in my opinion.
Ah, so he didn't know she was missing for four days?
I'd have thought the boyfriend of a woman living in such an isolated place would have checked on her a bit more often than every four days. But I suppose he could be the type who is just very casual about any potential emergency situations.
That's what he says. His camp is out of cell phone range. Stephanie's place is along the main "highway" through the area and has neighbors. So although it's isolated compared to where I live, it's not like she was out by herself living in the woods. Since they'd had a fight, I can see why he wouldn't contact her. But that's assuming we believe him.
Didn't he also state that he believed she went to see her mom in NOLA or is that heresay? Either way, it happened IMO

BBM On the other hand, if they did have a fight, it's equally plausible that they would have spoken in order to patch things up. Hard to know what type of relationship they had, but I have read that in some instances she referred to him as her husband, so it sounds to me like they were pretty close. I do find it odd that he didn't report her missing.
