VERY INTERESTING OUOTP! Correct me if I am wrong, if memory serves me right, I recall in the comments under one of the first news broadcasts 2 people said they thought they saw Stephanie in Grants Pass on Tuesday after the 4th of July. That would have been on the 9th. By the way did this person that says that she thinks that may have been Stephanie in the car, did she mention if this girl had a nose ring? Or was she too far away to notice that? And, what about the cross necklace, Did she mention if she noticed it

No I don't remember possible Grants Pass sightings. Everything the woman remembers about Stephanie is mentioned here.

I agree, sadly.

Me, too. And for so many reasons. However, when someone reveals something like this woman has to me, I can't help but recall Gina DeJesus , Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight who were assumed to be long dead, only to be found in a house in Cleveland last year.
I hope that the police have or will soon follow up on this woman's lead before it is too late and the surveillance is erased. Stores don't keep those tapes forever.
It shouldn't be too hard/time consuming for LE to do this. The woman knows exactly what time this happened because she has receipts...

There is a detailed article here about the explosion in Medford. I'm scratching my head a little about how such a long article ended up on Voice of Russia, but there you go.

http://voiceofrussia.com/2013_11_13...son-county-DAS-office-in-Medford-Oregon-7232/

Any local news about warrants being issued etc, anybody gone awol? Have locals noticed a lot of activity or a lot of new faces around? I'm guessing a huge investigation is going on and spreading far and wide, but we are unlikely to hear details in the press. Given the background of some people close to this case, I'd be very surprised if the FBI aren't taking a long look at Stephanie's disappearance.

Was Stephanie quite a prolific user of social media, anybody know?

I wonder if there is any possibility of getting a missing flyer posted in the location? That might lead to;

More sightings if it is Stephanie
Someone coming forward to say it is them, if it is not Stephanie.

I believe this has been done. I will ask. Remember tho, this was mid August.
Still, I would hope that with its' close proximity to Ruch, Grants Pass would be covered in flyers by now.

Can anyone point to the 'steep cliff' in question in the article, on a map for me?

Note: I see investigators of the Medford explosion are looking at possible links to the Coos Bay memorial explosion earlier this year, but don't think they will prove to be connected.

I'm still wondering where you are Stephanie. And wondering how to get many, many other people wondering too. I'll think of something.

Oh, dang. I just noticed that when someone asked me to amend the text on the necklace pic a while back, I amended the pic on the thread. I forgot about the one on the Flyer thread. I'll have to fix that tomorrow though.

I and told they were not together romantically when he died. They had been broken up for some time ( I want to say a few years but I don't remember). They were still, however, great friends and when he became ill, I believe she helped care for him till the end.
I don't remember who told me this but it came up, I believe, in the first thread when I questioned why there was no mention of her in his obituary.

Stephanie and Michael had not been romantically involved for several years prior to his death. They met in LA, and they traveled all over the USA together; then settled in Southern Oregon and opened the Magnolia Grill in Ruch, OR. They were together for 9 years, then separated while remaining close. When Sissy heard that Michael was ill with CA, she immediately became involved and helped care for him in her home. The reason she isn't mentioned in the Obituary, is because Steph and Michael's family didn't see eye to eye and hadn't for many years. Personalities and power struggles... (((((((SIGH)))))))

Bless your dear heart, Zwiebel! I too, am concerned about the lack of publicity, but am hopeful that this is the calm before the storm... Have faith and please, please, please keep pushing! Thank you!!!

My own feeling is though, Stephanie was no longer alive on July 5th. I don't think she ever saw the dawn of August. :(

It breaks my heart to agree, but I don't think Sissy ever made it home the evening of the 4th.

Stephanie was not a big social media participant. She would go on Facebook to play her game and to check in with friends, but didn't spend a great deal of time on the WWW.

  • #652
It's useful to know that. Sometimes very revealing info turns up on social media, even if we can't discuss it. I suspect if Stephanie had left a trail though, it might have disappeared anyway.

Never mind. We'll have to settle for the other trails we've got. There's plenty of them. Too many, I'm tempted to say.

Hope you are keeping well Dicentra. It's nice to see you here again.

Bare in mind, I don't believe anyone else saw Stephanie at the Ruch store but Ames. Also, correct me if I am wrong, I believe it was also him who started the whole thing about the boys and the truck.

POI was the ONLY person who can verify "seeing" Stephanie at the Ruch store and and POI was the ONLY person who saw or interacted with the mythical Boys in the truck, who picked up POI from the Ruch store the night of the 4th. No Boyz have come forward to help POI verify his story. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

I looked for this in the articles, Zwiebel, but they aren't specific. As best as I can tell, it would be along Forest Service Road 1040 just over the California border south of Applegate Lake. This road runs along the Applegate River before it enters the Lake. In the articles, it is called Applegate Creek, but I think that is wrong, or else my googling skill is losing ground. I'm pretty sure Applegate Creek is in Oregon and the murder you are referring to was in California. In any case, it's one area I've thought Stephanie could be. Such wild country.

Yes, and so much of it. Maybe I'll try tempting an extraordinary mapper over here, see if they can come up with some lateral thinking to help us out. I hope, hope authorities are making progress on this case. The silence is so difficult, but I know we have to be patient.

I suppose if it is difficult for us, it must be nerve-destroying for anyone involved in Stephanie's disappearance.

I'm far from an extraordinary mapper, but I've been following Stephanie's thread here and put this map together for my own use:

Hope it maybe of some use in finding Stephanie.

I am thinking out loud here & just wondering if anyone is feeling like I am. I know people get burned out reading the same stuff over & over again & not getting any new info to discuss but we are a very lively group here. We don't just discuss the disappearance of Stephanie. We have touched on football games, donuts, chess tournaments & a variety on topics that help us stick together when the news gets slow. Well we had the bombing to discuss last week & how it may have tied into this case but since then the media seems to have gotten rather quiet. I think it was Dicentra that said the FBI is on this case now. Correct me if I am wrong. So, that would mean there are more resources available in helping to find Stephanie and put this case back in the media again. Does anyone know if the JCSO has put out any new press releases regarding the status of Stephanie's case? Has the FBI openly acknowledged that they are working on it? The silence that has been portrayed in this case hopefully must mean that they are going through all the evidence with a fine tooth comb. I know we have asked hundreds of questions to each other on this forum and have picked apart the little bit of information that had been given to the public and then some other valuable info that Dicentra shared with us but I truly must sympathize with LE on this horribly mysterious case. LE must be going out of their minds trying to put together all the pieces to this puzzle. I surely hope that the FBI is lending them assistance so we get some insight as to what the status of Stephanie's case is. The media if I remember correctly has not done a follow up story on this case since Oct. 10th! Why??? Is the media not interested????? Now talk about being "BAFFLED"! It sure baffles me why the media wouldn't want to follow up on a missing persons case. Why didn't the media follow up on the "sightings" of a mysterious homeless woman in Longview. Unfortunately for Stephanie, she was a normal everyday gal. She wasn't rich or politically connected. Had she had been, this case may have been in the news every night. I only hope & pray that LE will solve this case sooner than later. The holidays are approaching rapidly and I sure hope for good news for all of Stephanie 's family and friends and newly found websleuth friends. Lilibet and OUOTP posted a while back some songs that reminded them of things that were happening on our site here. Well I have one for us for the Holidays. It's my all time favorite Christmas song by Vince Vance & the Valiants it is ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU! Sending much love & hugs to everyone here on WS and a warm thank you for all the thousands of hours you have taken away from yourselves and given to hep find Stephanie! You are all very generous, thoughtful and kind people to have donated so much of your time and energy. I leave you today with one last thought since it is the Holiday season, our mantra should be HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS! Let's keep HOPING!!!!
