Watching now

Nel asks did you know about her reln with OP
Barry - No I didn't ( yet she phoned him every Sunday)

Hope Masipa picks up an inference that RS did not perceive the reln as that important at the 3 month stage so that the point about this being a brief reln could have been clear. Nel didn't push it.

What's a reln? Please explain the contexts of what he is saying or trying to prove.

Thanks.

Steenkamp says the only photograph he has seen of his daughter was the one shown to the court.

A lot of people will disagree with me and think that I’m callous … But what I would like the world to see are the wounds inflicted on to Reeva and the pain she must have gone through, so the world can see this.

I didn't see this part - but here we are back on the censoring of the Saayman report again and it's implications.

OMG, Barry Roux wanted it to be kept confidential and he told the whole world about it in court.

Pretty underhanded, huh? Can you imagine the humiliation that caused the Steenkamps?

Robyn Dixon @RobynDixon_LAT #Pistorius Reeva's father used to jab himself with a needle after she died "to see if I could feel the same amount of pain."

As to his temper....op....hubs reminded me of his Olympic outburst after losing

Devastating. Poor man.

Pistorius completely dry-eyed. Rather at odds with his snotty snivelling over how terrible it's all been for him.

That's what the results of domestic violence look like folks

Yeah, OP does want more than to speak to Barry. He wants a get out of jail free card.

Indeed. We also know that judges in SA almost require victims' families to be open to future reconciliation/mediation so in a way, it's good for the both for Masipa and the Pros that Barry he has got in the point that he will be open for a meeting with OP at some point in the future but not yet

(if his health holds out of course. )

My feed dropped. What was it they wanted to keep confidential?

Looks like someone hit ops head with a cricket bat......moo

And I know what he meant about having photos of Reeva shown...."Let the world see what was done to my girl".

There were some dreadful comments about the Steenkamps as a result. Blood money etc. plus some very gross personal comments.

What's the bet his mental illness and desire to work with underprivileged kids disappears the moment he is released, around the same time he suddenly feels the urge to buy a new glock?

Oh dear, I am afraid you nailed it.

Roux asked that the 6000 rand a month paid to the Steenkamps be kept confidential. Then revealed it in court.

An arrangement was made between OP's lawyers and those acting for the Steenkamps about the money that OP paid them each month. The Steenkamps were destitute and lost the roof over their head 2 weeks after she was murdered. As you know, Reeva used to help them out financially. Barry Roux told the Steemkamps' lawyers that this arrangement would be confidential. What an absolutely disgusting man.

Agree. We made a list of things we thought he would try and use as mitigation. Media & Mental Health were on there.

On media - he cannot have it all ways - Scholtz said that the media scrutiny & also "vilification" by the media was exacerbating his dire Mental Health issues - but he then chooses to participate in an exclusive TV interview which will be reported worldwide.
( Sneaky Arnold says it was his choice, not Oscars - what is OP then a ventriloquist's dummy ?- and also time the broadcast date after the sentencing. )
It would be ironic if, due to delays and Defense ploys, the sentencing was delayed beyond the broadcast date.

Are you going to be in to watch it live today Soozie?
BIB - I can watch for the next 90 minutes. Just catching up on what's already happened.

ETA to my comment above. Roux then told the whole world about it during the trial.

He's a very emotional man. He'll never get over this.

From a layperson ......it smacks one in the face to hear his heartfelt raw emotion .... Now that is a broken man!!!!! Can't buy honesty.
