Othram - General Discussion - #3

Othram gets mentioned.

The break came last year when cold case homicide detectives sent various items of evidence to Othram, Inc. in Texas to conduct a forensic genealogy, which they hoped could lead them to the killer.

Honored that Othram could assist the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Sullivan County Sheriff's Office in identifying the suspect in the 1997 sexual assault of Mary Hutson and the murder of her son. The suspect has been arrested and remains in custody. This is the first suspect identified by TBI using FGG technology.

Our team is committed to not just solving cases, but solving them the right way. Our team has developed a first-of-its-kind molecular forensic information system—an innovation that encodes (at the molecular level) detailed sample information to improve workflow tracking, history, contamination detection, and authenticity verification. Check out the peer-reviewed study, just published in FSI Genetics.
