Honored that Othram could assist the Cobb County ME, PD, and the Georgia Criminal Justice Coordinating Council in identifying a 1984 homicide victim as 20-year-old Veronica Jane Miller. An investigation into her death continues.

The release from the sheriff's office kind of makes it sound like the genealogy work wasn't much help outside of final confirmation and that this was only solved by chance after a woman who lived at the address as a child saw a post about the case on Facebook and called in a tip. The PMI was also off by 10 years (believed to have died 2010-2018, actually died 1999).

The lead definitely helped, but this case would not have been solved without some family tree building.

The fact that you all even went to them and offered to do it for free is amazing. I couldn't find anything about what Project Grace is or where the funds come from though; do you know if they have their own website?

There is no website. There was a private donor that helped us and wanted to remain anonymous. She funded 10 cases in AZ. This is one of them!
