We’re so close! will you help us cross the finish line?

Earlier last year, a headless skeleton was found buried in a shallow grave just off the road in Natchez, Mississippi. The man remains unidentified, and the local agency working this case does not have the funding needed to pursue advanced forensic DNA testing. Thanks to generous support from ALL OF YOU, we’ve already raised more than 65% of the funding goal, and we’ve started work on the case. Please help us get to the finish line!

Honored that Othram could assist the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office in identifying a 1978 John Doe as Jessie Lee Williamson. His remains were found burned at a boat ramp—an effort to conceal the homicide. Burned remains are among the most challenging types of evidence for DNA analysis, but at Othram, we believe no case should ever be left behind.

A Half-Century Later, Rutherford County Doe is Identified

Honored that Othram could assist the Franklin County Coroner's Office in identifying a 1989 John Doe as Ernest Emerson Carter. Very grateful to the Porchlight Project for funding this case.
