A 30-year-old victim and her boyfriend, both from West Virginia, went to the home to meet with two of the suspects, identified as 35-year-old Jason Bowdry and 24-year-old Samantha King. Later after the visiting couple left, the pair were called back to the residence to “answer for a large sum of missing money.”

When the 30-year-old woman, whose name has not been made public, could not produce the missing cash, police say two of the suspects bound the victim’s arms and legs with tape and then gagged her.

Police say another one of the suspects, 45-year-old Eddie Johnson, tortured the woman, injuring her toe using a clamping tool, while again asking her about the missing money.

Another suspect, 31-year-old Isaac Anderson, is then accused of using a large piece of wood to beat the woman on her legs and feet.

She was finally able to contact help when one of the suspects fell asleep next to her in the vehicle on their way to West Virginia . She began texting a friend, who contacted 911.

Police eventually pulled over the car and took Bowdry, King and another suspect, 25-year-old Anthony Michael, into custody.

The local paper has a ton of information.

Five accused in hostage, assault, abduction incident

The big piece of information that Penn Live is missing is that the woman is pregnant. Also, the man she was with is a friend not her boyfriend.

He is also a terrible friend.

"En route, they stopped at a motel on Route 422 in Shenango Township and her friend went inside for a short time, then he drove them to Sunny Avenue, she told police. She said several people were at the house, and she sat on a living room couch while her friend went into a back room to talk to a couple of the people. He came out, then they left, she told police.

She said her friend then received a call from Bowdry, who said a bag containing $14,000 was missing from his house, and told them to come back, the complaint said.

She told police that they went back and denied taking the money, and her friend left to buy cigarettes and didn't return. Meanwhile, two of the men duct-taped her hands and legs and put a white rag in her mouth, then wrapped duct tape around her head, she reported. She said one of the men used her cell phone to call the male who had been driving her, and asked him if he had the money, the complaint alleges."

They torture her more and force her to get into a car.

"She said that Bowdry was next to her in the car and he fell asleep, so she texted a friend, telling her she was being held against her will, she told the police.

Her friend in turn called 911 and was transferred to Allegheny County 911, and her friend gave the dispatchers a description of the car the woman had provided. The vehicle was ultimately stopped by the Fayette Township police in Allegheny County, who identified all five suspects and took them to the state police station in New Castle, the complaint states."

Man arrested for drugs amid alleged abduction scheme

They've also arrested a sixth person.

"The incident was linked to people who had booked a room at a Shenango Township motel, where troopers found a quantity of drugs, according to a criminal complaint.

Julius Michael Williams, 29, of 827 Morton St., formerly of Michigan, was arrested for alleged drug offenses after a search warrant was served at his motel room and after police allegedly found marijuana in his pocket."

...

"Troopers in investigating the alleged abduction served a sealed search warrant at the Sunny Avenue house, and the motel room that the woman’s friend had rented. The search yielded quantities of suspected heroin, cocaine, pills, cash, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia, police reported.

Troopers reported having seen two men leaving the motel and walking to a nearby pizza shop, where a trooper initiated a conversation with one of them, identified as Williams. The trooper reported that Williams and the man with him gave conflicting stories about how they were there, and the police could not positively identify them. As police went to arrest Williams, they reportedly found a bag of suspected marijuana in his pockets."
