Unconfirmed yet, but there is scanner report that the vehicle has been located and the girl has been found. 800 Front Street. Ambulance is being sent, might be just precautionary.
Wouldn't surprise me if it was some kid who didn't even realize she was in the car until after he took off. Thank God whoever it was at least had some heart.
UPDATE: (Per PSP) The vehicle was located in a wooded area behind the family's house. Weber's mother did not put the vehicle in park when returning home. As a result the vehicle moved forward with the child still inside. The vehicle traveled over a small parking curb and down a decline into a wooded field. The child is OK.
"The girl was in the car that was believed to have been stolen, but was found down an embankment behind her family's home along Route 11 near Berwick.
Minutes after the girl was loaded into an ambulance, several relieved family members said investigators are theorizing the car was never stolen, but slipped out of gear while parked in the driveway and then careened out of control down an embankment that eventually leads to the Susquehanna River.
The mother was putting groceries away, police said."
