Allen Gould Docket
I do wonder if there is any kind of defense strategy other than to get just one juror not to convict. It will be hard enough with a no body trial but in this day and age where cell phones and internet related activities so clearly show patterns of life I do believe jurors would be more inclined to convict than decades ago. I really thought that he would trade a plea in exchange for telling authorities where she can be found. I could be wrong but I think her family would be okay with such a deal as more often than not a family would want their loved one back especially as time goes on. So my thinking is that their play is to get a non-life sentence and the longer he spends in County jail reduces the amount of time he would spend in a State prison and dragging this out makes sense. The longer Gould's criminal attorney objects to the actual trial starting, the longer Gould will sit in jail.
