What the cop is saying about the pine tree, now that we have 20/20 hindsight, is consistent with TC pausing there at the last flat little connector roof he crossed, to assemble his AR-15.

It wasn't until Jeff Ostroff YT that I understood TC could carry the AR15 weapon disassembled inside his backpack -- for weeks I couldn't comprehend a young man carrying a rifle on the grounds and not being detected.

IIRC, FBI Director Chris Wray said during his appearance before the House hearing that the gun the shooter used had a collapsible stock.

I found it disturbing how porous the outer perimeter was and how easily Crooks was able to duck in and out, making it hard for LE to find him.

It looked as though people were able to get into the venue property from all corners, with LE trying to run around and herd them. The buildings blocked the view of those areas where people could sneak in.

<snipped for focus>

I think it's likely that the SS lead agent signed off on a security plan that failed to take all of this into account. The SS was in charge of establishing the perimeters and assessing what kind of security to provide to all of it. We know many of their failures that day. All of the above issues should have been known by the SS agents in charge and taken into acocunt when the security plans were drawn up and approved and communicated to all LE involved at the rally.

The bottom line is that the SS failed miserably at the Butler rally.

What does ‘we got him…we don’t have him in custody yet’ mean?

Apologies. My post from 7 hours ago isn't meant to summarize a complete (or even incomplete LOL) account of the radio comms. All I did was extract the parts that warranted me adding my opinion on top of.

For completeness, please do one or the other of reading the WaPo "Radio" article, or doing a youtube search for jeffostroff. WaPo is the original source, "The Post obtained a previously unreported transcript."

New Kensington native David "Jake" Dutch, 57, was discharged from Allegheny General Hospital, Allegheny Health Network confirmed in an update. Seventy-four-year-old James Copenhaver, the other man who was injured, is still in the hospital in stable but serious condition, AHN said.
Good to hear Mr. Dutch has been released !
Praying for his continued healing.

Mr. Copenhaver was released July 28th but is recovering :

Possibly in a rehabilitation program ?
I don't know how his injuries will have affected him moving forward.
So sorry for all of the victims of TC.
Omo.

“Jim would like to especially thank the first responders, medics and hospital staff who have provided him with initial and continuing care,” the statement said. “Additionally, Jim would like to express his thoughts and prayers for the other victims, their families and (former) President Trump. He prays for a safe and speedy recovery for them all.”

A video has been released from Butler police body cams showing the efforts of the police to get onto the roof just minutes before Crooks fired at President Trump, just after the officer was hoisted up to see on top of the roof and then fell when the assassin pointed his rifle at him.

It is clear that these officers from Butler County were doing everything they could and the adrenalin was really pumping as they tried to deal with this before the shots were fired by Crooks.

Waiting for the video to appear on a WS approved source, as the MSM that first reported it just a few minutes ago is not one that WS allows, so waiting for some other MSM to post the video.

Devoid of any context it sounds like a chase has ensued.

It's a pity the audio is cut in the most important part.
Some news sources have the sound and a longer video. Maybe someone can find a link to one of those.

Edit: I posted an Instagram one and a Twitter one, counterproductively, cuz they just pick up where the sound begins on the YT I posted (cue 1:45)

..."This space for rent" lol...

Anyway some of the dialog indicates that radio frequency confusion existed from local LEO to local LEO (which of course doesn't excuse or rank or [fill-in-the-blank] other confusions that the WaPo "Radio" article covers in detail).

WBFF (Baltimore TV)...

Can somebody post their best guess at the video cue time when TC fired shots?

We might have to match it up with Dayve Stewart's, perhaps by tracking the movement of the horse. (2:05)

P.S. How cool would it have been if the lady on the horse evacuated the protectee?
