I wonder if that message was really written by Scott and not Brandi. He obviously had her password and made some changes to her site. It was written the nite "before" she was murdered. He might have written it to throw off the cops to make them think she still loved him when she really didn't love him anymore and feared him.
well, there was that blurb in the news story that LE was trying to "authenticate" the postings on the myspace accounts to see if the people who claim to have authored them really did.
I thought that was an odd mention in the article.
So maybe he did write that.

It might indicate that he had to show she was still alive at a time when she was already dead.
That's good thinking, but I hope he wouldn't be stupid enough to write that he might be mad at her (if he did indeed write that).:waitasec:

I wish their sites were still up. It would be interesting to see if she wrote to anyone else at the same time-things he wouldn't necessarily write.

Did you see some of the recent posts on the original blog Steve wrote about this case? A few people suggest that Scott and "Go_Steelers/Heartbroken" might have possibly both did it??

http://huffcrimeblog.com/?p=438#comments

Regardless, looks like the majority thinks Scott is definitely involved.
Also, apparently Brandi's family is financially secure and Scott's wasn't?
And Brandi was beaten pretty badly.
At least this info was coming from some of those posts and the posts from his newer blog from today, I believe, about "has Scott confessed?"

I wouldn't think he would write that on her blog to him or on his from her...anyway to me it makes him look even more guilty...surely if he was trying to throw LE off a time of death, he would have just made something else up instead of saying that he was mad at her...

but then again I don't understand why he would say that he saw someone beating his wife and then he tried to get in but the fire was too bad...he doesn't sound too bright...I think he is guilty...how many men would just stand there like that and not try to at least somehow find another way to get into get their wife out, especially if someone was beating her?

I imagine they were probably drunk (?) and ended up in a fight and he "lost it", beat her, and then later realized what he had done, panicked and set the house on fire...doesn't sound like he took much time to come up with a very good story...

I imagine that he will be charged for her murder soon...JMO!

I know I'm not as up to date as all of you are in this case, but I read on Steve Huff's blog today that someone anonymously commented on his site last night that Scott Dunn confessed.

So far, I haven't been able to collaborate this with any news organization. Anybody know anything about this?

As far as I know, it's still unconfirmed.

There are some interesting comments at Steve's place though.

Murder victim Brandi Dunn and her husband were actually part of two communities.
They lived in Mercer County, but they were also active in an online community through an Internet Web site.

Channel 4 Action News has learned that police are looking closely at their postings on the Web site, and that the victim's husband is now refusing to answer any more questions from police.

As they go over the physical evidence at the murder and arson site, state police investigator are also scouring the Internet for clues.

Dunn and her husband both had personal Web pages at a site called My Space.

Police tell Channel 4 Action News that someone logged into Brandi Dunn's site under her name the day after she died and made changes and deletions.

"We're looking at all that to see what was there before, what's there after the fire. Who has put something on there, added to it, taken away from it, when that might have occurred," said Cpl. Cheryl Michalski of the Pennsylvania State Police.

Brandi Dunn posted this message the night before she was murdered:

"I know you are still mad at me, but I still love you. I'm sorry, baby."

The day after her murder, Scott Dunn posted this message to his dead wife:

"Hey, babe. I know you're in heaven right now, smiling down on all of us. Man, babe, I miss you so much. I know you're with God now. I miss you and love you so much. I keep waiting to see you or hear you voice or a phone call. This is so hard. You meant the world to me and now you're gone."

State police now say that Scott Dunn is refusing any further police interviews.

"He has invoked his right to an attorney, and he is no longer speaking to us," said Michalski.

Too late Bud, way too late!
Who wants to bet on whether it was an online argument, or a message from heartbroken?

Steve's very right about this being under-reported; I've found many, many stories about Brangelina's baby but not many about the Grove City fire/murder.

I suspect it had something to do with the argument they had on Thursday night...whatever Brandi did (and/or was apologizing for) when she had folks over to finish the keg.

Whatever it was she did that made Scott mad, she certainly did not deserve to die for it.

All,

In lieu of writing a new blog entry about the Dunn case, I'm going to be doing a relatively short article today for Court TV's crimelibrary.com.

Wanted to share something that really meant a lot to me with people who would know and understand why -- I just published a new article about the Taylor Behl case over at crimelibrary.com yesterday, and earlier tonight I received a short, kind note about the article from Janet Pelasara, Taylor's mom. I know that's OT for this thread, but I was moved that she'd bother, and if anyone would understand why that affected me, it's probably the average poster to this thread. My article there tried to add a human dimension, just as I've hopefully done with Brandi's murder, draw in elements from the blogosphere, and recap the internet element of the Behl case.

Back on-topic -- Pittsburgh media is really all over this story now, and I think I can safely drop the under-reported comment from any future thoughts on this case. Talked to a couple of press folks up there, including Bob Mayo, the anchor who was kind enough to work a screenshot of my blog into that video package. The myspace angle is apparently MOST interesting. I have a friend who besides being a websleuth knows their way around coding for the web like nobody's business, and they are working on making some of that now locked or thought-to-be-deleted info available again.

Anyone here hasn't cleared their browser cache since the last time you looked at Brandi & Scott's myspaces, please let me know. E-mail [email protected]. We may be able to retrieve the cached page and put up a mirror at another domain -- at least of the profile pages.

Steve

I just started a thread in a local forum in New Castle about Brandi. It will be interesting to see what replies are posted. Here is the link http://community.cnhi.com/groupee/forums/a/frm/f/17510611
There seems to be something strange going on with this thread that I started on another forum concerning the murder of Brandi. I am unable to access the thread now. What is really strange is I can't access my account at all. I have another thread in the Groupee community about the Sodder family mystery(Cold Case) and can't access it either. The message keeps telling me to update my profile but nothing happens when I enter my password. Hmmm, any idea what is going on?

It could be a glitch in their system. If you can read there, check out what posts are up, wait a while and then go back and see if there have been any new posts. Then try again.

I can't get past the message that tells me my profile is incomplete. Can't access any posts at all on either thread. It is like my account is locked.

Often in the night hours they do some type of maintenence. Usually they try to have a site back up about 6 am, unless they have problems. Wait an hour or so then try. Then B*tch if you can't get in.

Hmmm. I just clicked on it and got in fine. It could be a glitch.

If you sign out and just browse the board, you can still read there though, right?
You just can't login?

Shadowangel can't access the Sodder family thread on that forum either so I guess it is just a glitch in the system. I thought for a minute there that it was related to the activities going on at Myspace.

I can get in and read fine. But I am not registered there. That may have something to do with it.
As yet no reponses since your last post asking about local info. (01-18-2006 12:20
