I wonder if a 1984 Blue Mercury Cougar was one of the cars over the years that has been recovered from Chalfont road in Marsh Creek State Park where it goes into the lake, and no one put two and two together.

"Left home unexpectedly" what exactly does that mean?

Hey. My mother is the godchild of Emma & Carl Senior Schauber. Unfortunately Carl & Emma died years ago… and no, it was just Carl III. He had no siblings.

Carl and his car are still missing

I've spoken with the Police Chiefs for Uwclan and Upper Uwclan townships. They indicated that the marsh creek, Chalfant rd area cars were found. However, they both said all cars pulled from there were matched with owners and it's pretty shallow quite a ways out. But, they did say back in the 1980's the Cornog Quarry which is now the Keystone Trap Quarry, was a party location and it too is off of Chalfant rd. I was thinking this could be a possible location. I was also made aware that back in the 1990's or early 2000's the quarry was drained down by it's now owners, Aqua. From what both chiefs told me alot of cars were extracted. The state police here apparently handled that. I have a records request in for that currently for them.
