GUILTY PA - Cherie Amoore accused of abducting baby from King of Prussia mall, 31 March 2016

Pathetic! Once again we see that money or who you are/know plays a significant role in how one is treated!

She kidnapped a baby! What that baby's parents and family went through and suffered is life changing whether the culprit was from a good background or had a criminal background.

Too many people want to claim insanity these days. Are there medical records to back up claim of pregnancy and a baby dying? Did she even seek medical treatment?

I am sure the loss of a baby is devasting! It happens every day, therefore, we cannot set a precedent that "it's okay" for woman to steal a baby or we will see this happening many more times. This girl cannot be given special circumstances because of who her Momma is!

My opinions only.

Woman guilty of kidnapping infant at King of Prussia Mall

When Cherie Amoore arrived home last March with a baby, she told her boyfriend it was their own newborn son.

When she took the 7-week-old to visit her parents, they took photos with him and believed the infant was their grandchild.

But the baby was not hers. And as she was introducing him to her family, a frantic search was underway for an infant kidnapped from the King of Prussia Mall.

Amoore had never been pregnant, but had led her family and friends to believe she had a baby, prosecutors said Friday as a judge convicted her of kidnapping and concealing the whereabouts of a child.

Judge William R. Carpenter found Amoore guilty after a brief bench trial, at which neither side presented arguments. She will be sentenced later, and could face a maximum of 13 ½ to 27 years in prison. Ringwood said she plans to seek a stiff state prison sentence.

Cherie Amoore: Up to 7 years in state prison for baby-snatching

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/crime/doctor-convicted-kidnapper-cherie-amoore-had-mental-issues-20170724.html

The woman found guilty earlier this year of kidnapping an infant from King of Prussia Mall was sentenced in Montgomery County Court on Monday to 1½ to 7 years in a state prison.

After hearing more than nine hours of testimony, Judge William R. Carpenter said Cherie Amoore knew the difference between right and wrong and had, at least to some extent, premeditated the child’s abduction. To make matters worse, Amoore’s actions affected multiple victims, including a defenseless baby boy, Carpenter said, and the boy’s mother, Malika Lewis-Hunter, who cried in the front row of the Norristown courtroom.

“Imagine the terror, the living nightmare she experienced during those hours,” Carpenter said before he handed down the sentence.
