The father and uncle of the neighbors were interviewed. The father is now dead but I believe it could have to do with the son who is on Megan’s Law.

They need to go interview him! I may have heard about him years ago now that I think about it. I am going to go on the Megan Law's website and figure out who he is.

I believe they have talked to him before.. but he wasn’t interrogated like his dad was. He had no record when Cherrie was kidnapped

I went and looked up Incarcerated men on Megan's law in both Butler and Armstrong counties with the DOB being in 1961-1962 - I found 4 people. Some I would question - one had a kidnapping charge along with Involuntary Deviate Sexual intercourse in 1984. I would hope he was in jail when Cherrie went missing, but if not - he should be looked into.

I'm sure the son has been on the radar of the PSP. I just find it tough to fathom that a 24 year old could pull that off with no help and keep his mouth shut for all of these years. I know people have wondered if the skiier van was even involved. He could have been in the blue car I suppose that was at the scene. Or maybe him and the dad both. Was Cherrie being babysat by this family? I know they lived near Cherrie's grandma.

I never felt like this was done by a local pedo until last year. The newspaper article mentioned that Cherrie felt like she was being watched in the window last anniversary. So, that would obviously lean towards a local pedo. But Cherrie was so young and could have seen things as well at that age. I'm sure we all did.

The bio dad and the people he associated with always seemed more plausible to me. A coordinated effort using a van that they could easily discard. Or the blue car. Or both.

I believe he did had help. I think the father knew about this but he had help from someone else. Two men targeted Cherrie.

Just finished reading this entire 39 page thread and I feel so sorry for this family. The ONE day they didn't go pick her up at the bus stop? Seems she was being targeted. Don't think this was random and I think she knew her abductor. Don't think it was bio-dad and I think her remains are still local.

Will see how much of that pans out. Two more days until the 40th anniversary of her abduction. Where are you CHERRIE?

The pond was the only area on their property that WAS searched. They own many acres

Not sure why PSP isn't doing more. Searching more areas. If the tower Rd property hasn't been searched, that's a huge miss. Although, if you bury a body, I'm sure you aren't going to sell that property. Or you are going to move it so there isn't any evidence. I wonder if they have any hunting camps or anything.
