I think a warrant for his phone and having his child raped to collect a few bucks from the school are a big leap. JMVHO. There are a hundred reasons for being unwilling to give up his phone which may have zero relationship to his child's abduction.

:(

I am going to hope for a rapid resolution, and I pray that the child was not permanently injured from all of this.

I wonder if getting a search warrant (term?) for the phone from dad is a formality so that evidence found (if any) can be held up in court...

the info gained could be regarding other people... Not necessarily dad...

I can think of no reason to not willingly give up my phone to police to catch a perp that kidnapped/assaulted my daughter and possibly other kids. NOT ONE. I don't care if I had illicit affairs/naked pics or drug deals on my phone. My child would come first.
Jumping off on this topic, not arguing.

Just because police want a warrant, doesn't mean they don't have permission from him. Assuming the article is right, then they have it in their possession without the warrant- which could suggest he gave them permission to have it. The warrant could be a formality to be sure that whatever found is allowed as evidence without a doubt.

We don't know that father didn't give permission to look through his phone. Police sometimes get warrants even if they have permission-this way they are sure the evidence collected will be allowed at trial (if the trial happens).

SweetT, it appears he handed the phone over. I think the warrant is simply hiney covering in case they find something on the phone which leads them to believe he or someone associated through him is responsible.

Even if he hands it over willingly, a warrant makes any evidence gathered from the phone more "bulletproof" in a court case later.

I agree. I haven't read anything that states that the father resisted giving up his phone. A warrant is legally necessary to use info from the phone as evidence. JMO

A possibly bi racial muslim couple with a woman named Rashida should be easy to find...if her name is really Rashida..which I doubt. I hope they find these perps today.

If she told the child her name was Rashida then we can be relatively sure it's anything but Rashida.

A 5 YO is very smart. She could have heard or been told to call someone Rashida.
She also probably heard the names of the other people in the house.
I think LE is giving out as little information as they can.
It sounds like a lot of info has been released, still I am thinking it is only half the info they have. kwim

I have Verizon. I could hand LE my phone voluntarily, and they still need a warrant to get the contents. Not because I don't want to give into them, but with the increase in "my wife/husband/gf is cheating, I need the texts" and stuff like that, there have been lots of problems. I received a notice from Verizon a couple years ago saying they changed their policies. The only person able to get backlogs and such (volunteered or voluntold) are LE with a warrant. Until LE say his phone was confiscated, I choose to give him the benefit of the doubt with that. It is not abnormal for the LE to want to check old numbers and messages just to rule more out.

Bulletin released by the SVU regarding the suspects.

also found at link is a map showing the search area/area N was believed to have been held. for some reason I couldn't get it to copy and upload.

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/...ductors-target-area-near-school-for-hunt.html

the targeted area of LE is the area between Spruce and Christian streets, from 56th Street to Cobbs Creek Parkway in their hunt for Na'illa Robinson's captors. (Map: Special Victims Unit)

THis report indicates LE are looking for a man and a woman in NR's abduction...

Unless the female that took NR to the park to supposedly release her is the same one who entered the school... Then I am still concerned with the safety of the girl who may have released NR...

Additionally... I hope neighbors of these perps witnessed the garb covered perp... And have seen the man.. And will be brave enough to alert LE...(if they have not done so yet).

Kidnapped Philadelphia girl's shirt sent for DNA testing

"The 5-year-old girl who was kidnapped from a West Philadelphia school on Monday was found at a playground in Upper Darby early the next morning wearing only a t-shirt. Now, Action News has learned, investigators have sent that t-shirt out for DNA testing."

If the news reports are right, and Mom lives on s. 4th St in South Philadelphia, I'm having a hard time guessing why NR would be attending kindergarten way over at 60th & Cedar in West Philly.

Has anyone read any reason why she's traveling so far for kindergarten?

I haven't heard anything yet about if Dad lives with her; his address could be in West Philly for all we know.

Also, in the District I work in we have most of the learning support, life skills and autistic support classrooms in my school. We bus in students from around the district to these classrooms, saves money and helps the kiddos get the support they need. Often parents want the siblings together so they come as well. So maybe she, or her brother had something similar to this going on.

Kachow! I hope the perps are hiding under a bed, dressed in nothing but wet T-shirts (from peeing themselves in fear), feeling cornered, & waiting with horrible anxiety for LE to bust them.
Justice for little N!

"They wanted me here for a second interview, that's it, just to make sure my story is consistent," Terry Robinson told NBC10's Daralene Jones in an exclusive interview.

Robinson said his daughter is recovering "and I'm working to recover myself and so is the family. It's a hard process, knowing that the person who committed this act to my child is still out there."

ty CHERIE but mine was to call attention to the part regarding the other children in the home, yours did not include that portion. I edited mine to highlight that for clarity. :)
