If they have existing warrants they will be pretending they are not home for the door knocks. Unless they have some sort of probable cause other than the occupant did not answer the door to gain a warrant to enter.

hmm, interesting transmissions, the few there are, on the scanner linked above.

The police need to make it clear that no names will be run. But I know many people have reason not to trust police. Hopefully, if anyone has information at all, they will use an anonymous tip line at least if they are afraid.

Now this is scary -

"We have vital information for the safety of your children. Please answer your doors."

With those words announced over a loud speaker, police hit the streets Wednesday afternoon trying desperately to find the woman who abducted the 5-year-old girl from her school on Monday.

I'm a few pages behind but...
WOW!!! I have never heard of police doing that on loud speakers before like this has anyone else? I agree with Cheese..."This is scary!" I am impressed with how seriously they are taking this and pray someone speaks up soon. I understand they took her around the neighborhood today to see if she recognized anything.

Quote...
They also took the child from her South Philadelphia home to help in the search.
"We take the victim back out and have them go through the route that was taken, if they can recall," Darby added.(End Quote)

Bless her little heart, I can't even imagine how frightening all this must be for her! Praying for this sweet child. This little girl deserves swift justice!

IDK about loud speakers, but when Naomi Almeida was kidnapped from her appartment in London, ON 2001, police loudly advised people within the building to open their door to them and submit to search of the unit. Those who did not open doors had them opened by police and the units searched.

Have we heard anything about the regular teacher yet?

I have wondered about her for awhile now. Seems she would know all of the things one would need to know about child, parent, tiffany and her absence.
Again, sorry teach :) if you got nothing to do with it. But it is curious.

I made a lot of assumptions & deductions about the perp based on what we do know. It has been reported that she asked for N by name, bypassed the office and went to her classroom, identified herself as N's mother at one point and used the name of her uncle's gf at another, the video shows N walking in front of her seemingly under no duress and N's mom does wear traditional Muslim garb.

In the abduction section, it was clearly my read of the situation. And the last section was based on what has been reported but reporting hasn't exactly been consistent.

I didn't realize that the post would cause confusion. I can delete it so that it doesn't happen again.

Nono! Please don't delete your post. It is good! Real good!

If they up the reward they might.

Grandpa is a respected member of the Muslim community apparently. As Cappucino explains above, in his role as Iman and a leader in the community, he did speak out against a specific group of non-Muslims who committed a crime garbed as Muslims.

As to her not being harmed, police have stated that she has been given a sexual assault exam, she was clothed in nothing more than a tee-shirt when found and

during the presser (paraphrased by WS member transcribing) won't comment on any help given to victim because of investigation, will not discuss the 5 year old by name or condition anymore. No child should have to endure what she went through

indicates that she may have been sexually assaulted. They had no problem with her name being out there when they were looking for her. Now, after a rape exam and interviewing child, they are no longer using her name.

I have only ever seen that done to protect a minor victim of sexual assault.
:(

Gulp...IF She was sexually assaulted :( any guesses as to why she was left at the playground?
Did the perp want her found?
Wonder how long she was there before being found?
How is this little one making it through her day?
I'm just sick children have to go through abuse, kidnappings, etc.
Ugh
Imoo

In a late development Wednesday night, after more than two hours of questioning, the girl's father left Special Victims Unit with detectives.

Although police have previously stated he passed a lie detector test and is not a suspect, sources say detectives confiscated his cell phone and was seeking a search warrant to go through it.

Please God, for N's sake, don't let her father be involved.

NBC10 learns that Philadephia police on Wednesday night questioned the father of a five-year-old girl who was abducted from her school on Monday. She was found alive Tuesday morning, by a man police called a hero for his actions.

"They wanted me here for a second interview, that's it, just to make sure my story is consistent," Terry Robinson told NBC10's Daralene Jones in an exclusive interview.

http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news...ght-in-Abduction-of-5-Year-Old-187113671.html

Robinson said he had no idea who is behind the abduction, but "they wouldn't have brought me down for a second interview if things weren't working themselves out."

Weird.... first Dad is never mentioned and then all the sudden he's being questioned twice?
Weird.

  • #773
That second link I posted from NBC Philadelphia has a video interview with the dad. I think he's okay. I just can't bare to think any family member would put that sweet little girl through that. I can't go there.

bbm

I really don't want to think he's involved. But I'm losing that optimism... :(

Either the Dad wanted to sue the school, and make money out of it, or LE thinks it was someone close to him. MOO

Seems LE is thinking there may be a family connection of some sort like many of us do. I hope if so, the family was clueless; otherwise.....

It may be they think it is an association of/with the dad...who would know better than he all of the people in his life, his past, his history...

The people I work with (in education) all think the parents were involved.
I am starting to agree. jmo of course.

BBM:
I know this is way behind, but thank you for this link Cheese. I can't even imagine how scary it would be to see this happening in my neighborhood. Especially the BBM part being broadcast. I wish we had someone to tell us exactly what "vital information" was told by LE. (Other than what we know) Is this just a way for LE to get people to cooperate? I have never seen anything like it. I wish LE would have done this in Somer's neighborhood.

It's entirely possible that Dad is the link, and not a perp. We've theorized that it may have been someone close to the family, maybe a message- well, that may still be the case. Just towards the father rather than the grandfather.
