it quotes a different post. Soooo....

Why would it take 4 hrs to get the search warrant when you have the people already "in questioning". It's not like it's the middle of the night or a weekend where a judge is not readily available. I am not real familiar with this, so if anyone could enlighten me that would be great.

Obtaining today's search warrants may have been dependent on the information obtained today from the people in custody...

ETA... Search warrants need to be pretty specific in what they cover...

I believe some of the residents were still in the home at the time of the last investigation...

Now that it has been cordoned off by LE... LE will have greater access to the home and grounds for investigating...

And... The last investigation may have led to more questions... And more items/areas to search...

This updated article says they are back in the house.

Philadelphia police are questioning four people, including two teens, in the abduction and sexual assault of a five-year-old girl.

The teen boy and girl, along with two adults, were picked up at the same home on the 6200 block of Walton Avenue where on Feb. 13, police searched and seized potential evidence -- just five blocks from the school where the girl was abducted. Evidence includes DNA that links one of the four to DNA found on the victim's t-shirt, according to a police official who did not want to use his name since he was not authorized to speak about the investigation.

According to NBC10's Daralene Jones, police are exploring ties between the people being questioned and the victim's family and investigators are back at the home now to conduct a second search.

The things these people did to this little girl are nightmarishly horrible and evil. I hope everyone who participated in this is prosecuted to the fullest extent for every crime they committed. 20 years in jail is not enough, iMO.

There are several young children in this family. If there are one or more pedafiles in the home it seems possible that they may have been preyed upon.

Makes me so very angry!

All great points. Let's not forget that we do not want to see any evidence thrown out in suppression hearing because the validity of the search warrant is challenged, in whole or in part. I have no problem waiting 4 hours for all the i's to be dotted and t's to be crossed.

Good point, thank you (and Dr.Know)for bringing me back down to earth. In my head I was just picturing LE picking up the 4 being questioned and having the warrant with them. You're right, someone may have started singing like a canary,oh I mean parrot. (pun intended)

I could cry for how much I admire this little girl! The people who abused her are not worth 1/10000000000 of a hair on her head and I wish they could just be obliterated. Just gone, we don't need them among us.

I'm gonna guess the house was watched for guys coming into the house.

Ken Davis, 31, who lives a few doors down from the house, said at least four women lived there, with children. He said men were rarely seen at the house.

The sources tell Action News they believe the people in custody include the woman who took the girl from school and the man who assaulted her. The sources also said police believe they have the girl who helped the 5-year-old out of the house.
Police do not know if the fourth person is a witness or a suspect, but add he did live at the house

All four were questioned by police last week and provided DNA samples. Investigators had been waiting all week for the results of DNA tests to come back.

Unfortunately this happens quite often. Many women are aware of the sexual deviance of their boyfriend/husband. Sometimes they do it because they just don't want the boyfriend/husband to leave them.

A man in a dark and light blue hoodie was first to be escorted by detectives from 6243 Walton Avenue, in Cobbs Creek. Minutes later, a man wearing an Eagles cap is put in a police car. A woman wearing a green coat and red hoodie was next, followed by a woman wearing a white baseball cap. Police say all four are being questioned at Special Victims Unit.
