In terms of the motive of why she would rape a child she would adore, we already know that many sexual assaults/rapes are about gaining power and control.

A victim of abuse often feels powerless. So she might have entered into a childcare situation subconsciously looking for a way to have power ( I know a few teachers that appear to have entered the profession as a way to be powerful and in control). So if NR was suddenly out of her power/control (suspension from work, NR showing affection towards another worker, etc) she found the most brutal, primal way to regain power over NR.

By the way, none of this IMO, whether or not it's true, is an excuse for CR's actions. I tell my students every single day, the majority of whom suffer physical abuse and neglect, that the only person responsible for their behavior is THEM and that no matter how angry or hurt they are, they do NOT have the right to hurt someone else.

Or she's like any other 🤬🤬🤬 pedophile. She lusted over that child all along.

This could be CR selling N for commision of some kind. Like little Shanyia was sold. Money changed hands. Therefore ransom and conspiracy charges. Gosh read statute 2901. CR has 2901 and up. I think that might tell what the possiblities are.

CR has at least 5 of those charges. Haven't counted yet but I remember at least 5 or so.

N's clothes were missing. There's video of a person with N's coat. That could be the ransom especially if N had any money in her backpack or clothes.

This is dated 3 days ago (AZ GMT). I don't think I remember reading anyone from the daycare or parents making a statement. Not much but at least there's word from parents about Heaven's Little Angels. Odd it has nothing online. Nada that I've found.

To borrow and paraphrase from the now infamous Jose Baez:

That girl ain't right

[ETA CR, not the cousin interviewed]

Regusters allegedly told her, "The man is going to come and you better be quiet because he doesn't like it when you're not quiet."

http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/local&id=8992441

Obviously I don't know if this is an exact quote or not... but the wording has bothered me since day one.
Say you are putting a child in timeout and telling them to be quiet... how would you word it.
"You need to be quiet because he WON'T like it if you're not quiet."

Saying "he doesn't like it" is like she is speaking from personal experience... that bothers me.

1. The sexual assault could have been so that it appeared a man took her...
Then when C "found" her and returned her, she'd be the hero not the suspect.

2. I know the idea of DID isn't a popular one... but this sounds eerily familiar so follow me here for a minute.

I knew a lady with DID once. She had been brutally raped at 4 years old and just split to cope with it.

I vividly remember a time when she was hiding under the bed. She wouldn't come out. I went in with her.
She said almost the same thing as quoted above, "Shut up! He won't like it if he hears us!" She was terrified.

There was no one else there at the time. No man to fear. This was her 4 year old girl personality.

She also had a evil man personality. A guy who did awful things to people.
Then there was a "caretaker" a "rescuer" personality. She was an amazing artist as well.

IF C has DID it is possible that she abducted N as one personality (female)
Raped N as another personality (male that doesn't like it when she's not quiet)
Released N as a third personality... (caretaker who wants to save the kids)

When you think about it, this actually starts to make sense. It's such a crazy case to begin with... why not this too?

If she has a 4th personality, it may not remember what the other 3 did. So she may have no idea what happened.

I hope that is something that you guys can follow. Obviously this is just IF she has it (I think it will be obvious if she does.)

But it reminded me so much of that lady... and her evil man personality.
I think that the evil man personality likely would have committed a crime like this at some point. :twocents:

Though DID has become an over used theory in many cases... This case is just so bizarre that I can see the personalities you described above being consistent with the many acts CR supposedly enacted...

DID is thought to develop when children are sexually assaulted... And the breaking into personalities/identities becomes a coping device to deal with the trauma...

Taking into account that there is a strong possibility that CR has been abused... There is a possibly that she developed DID...

O/T... Having a Masters in Psychology... I viewed one (or more ?) examples of patients diagnosed with DID... It is a very real phenomenon...

the cousin who spoke in the article linked above is not named and I think CR's aunt is the one who posted the youtube video of two year old humping couch while she encouraged and laughed. But I hear ya countryfox.

I did find it interesting in that this is the first comment from a family member that I have seen and also that the cousin referenced CR's mom.

CR's mother appears to be a bit of a ghost in this story. Regusters did not reside with her and not one word from or mention of her has been made in the press until now.

This is such a bizarre case.. if it wasn't so tragic for little N i'd suggest making it into a lifetime movie, bird and all!

I was mentioning this Insanity plea because I was referring to a statement in which the lawyer mentioned CR may have mental problems... And that he was going to research this further...

(My own words.)

It sounded to me like he was already prepping the public, etc. that CR may have mental problems that could be involved in some way...

I do not agree that she warrants an Insanity Plea... At all...

JMO

Yep..I knew what u meant, I also see the lawyer was laying the groundwork to cop an insanity plea. The "no way" comment was meant to say he will have a hard time proving she was not guilty by reason of insanity, although agreed, he definitely seems to be trying.

The physical and psychological damage done in this case is unspeakable, but Kline said that the 5-year-old is incredibly resilient. She still smiles and is excited for an upcoming birthday.

"She's surrounded by love and love goes a long way," Kline said.

Bless her heart. I am glad she is excited for the coming birthday. This little girl is amazingly resilient and it gives me hope, that with proper care, she can live a life that is not marred overmuch by this trauma. I think it is a testament to the fact that she has good support to guide her and see that she is getting the right care, both physically and emotionally.

Attorney: No Doubt There Will Be More Arrests In Child Abduction Case

"There is no doubt in my mind that there will be additional arrests," he said. "There's clearly a man involved, there's clearly another, younger girl involved."

I would love to know how they know that...
Was N not blindfolded and knows for a fact there was a man there? Or did she just HEAR the man?
Same thing with the teenage girl (of which the suspect also is) did she SEE that girl and CR without disguises?
If she never saw all 3 without a blindfold on... then it's possible they were not all different people. :twocents:

Almost like a female pedophile...not sure that happens often?

As hard as it is to imagine, I think this happens way more than we think. It happened to my sister and I, our babysitter was the adult daughter of one of my mother's co-workers. She would bring a friend, who was a male. This was back in the late 1970's when this sort of thing was swept under the rug.

Also remember one of the most notorious ones of late, Melissa Huckaby and Sandra Cantu.

I agree. The victim should be able to say if she heard a male voice that was speaking to her or her abductor. She should be able to determine if two female voices were speaking to each other. The poor girl has been through so much already, I hope she will be able to get through multiple interviews with investigators.

What about the original report of a man in sweat pants?? I am certain there are more involved and I'm not entirely convinced that CR did any of the assaulting. Is this what the victim said or are we just assuming she did based on charges? There has to be more info because having her DNA on a shirt really says nothing. IF she was trying help her escape and gave her a shirt to wear, then her DNA would very likely be on the shirt, especially if she lived in the home.

Didn't the little girl say there were other kids there as well? So we know it took place at the Aunt's home. I guess it could have taken place while the rest were at work, and then once they got home she had N hide under the bed and not make a peep, and then snuck her out once they were asleep again.

I just cannot imagine this happening to anyone, let alone a 5 year old. :(
