Of course. Especially if those are your own babies. It’s ridiculous that she just let them swing in the wind like that. Any real mom would be desperate to cut them down and try
His squad did have counseling for sure. I remember all the worst calls, they never go away, you just take solace from hoping that you helped. I have been on calls where some members cannot handle a call for whatever reason, and another member automatically steps up and handles it. I had a great team. Your emotions sometimes take over no matter what you wish. And when you are alone, you cannot predict how you react. I was fine with blood, even body parts, but when my own kids would be injured, my arms and legs would go completely numb. It was so hard to treat them like I treated strangers. I was so happy just to see a policeman. I was always scared when I was alone with them that there would be an injury. I hope there is compassion during trying times. I am so sorry for your difficulties and time does not erase. Keep talking to friends, it helps. It helps so much.

God bless you for the work you did. Takes a very strong person. The personnel that came here were incredible. I do have a wonderful circle of caring friends. Thank you.

Thanks, I just noticed the same thing.

Nothing to see there.
No, but when I searched her name, an interesting FB discussion group comes up. It’s closed, but you can join it. Motives are there.

According to police, the children’s mother returned to their home around 4:30 p.m., finding two dining room chairs tipped over on the floor near her children’s bodies.

The children were unconscious and in cardiac arrest when they were found, but medics revived them en route to the hospital. However, on September 26, both children were removed from life support, dying within 14 minutes of each other.

ETA: Seems the children were home alone, allegedly.

On a regular school day, Elementary students being picked up by a family member are dismissed at 3:20 PM.
On a regular school day, Elementary students taking a bus home are dismissed as their respective bus arrives beginning at 3:30 PM.

Elementary school is approximately 12-13 minutes/6-7 miles.

The sister was only 4 years old. Most elementary schools don't accept 4 yr olds, do they?

That would be preschool, and maybe this school has one, but usually someone needs to pick up 4 yr olds, in my experience. They aren't usually allowed to go home alone on school buses with much older students, are they?

I'm still trying to figure out whether or not BS was home all day while CS was at school, or if she was enrolled in pre-K. I read WAY too much of the parent handbook for the Kutztown Area School District, and it appears that BS would have been too young for the school district's kindergarten program, which required that students be 5 years of age by 9/1/19.

However, she would have been eligible to attend free partial-day OR full-day pre-K if her mother enrolled her by the deadline. The state's "Pre-K Counts!" program is offered to parents who want their 3 or 4 year old kids to be prepared for kindergarten and/or need to have their children cared for during the day. It is offered at no cost to students whose families meet certain income/hardship criteria--one such qualifying criterion is that the prospective student and/or their family is receiving assistance from Children and Youth Services, which we know is true for BS and her family.

If she was NOT in pre-K, I wonder if she might've been at home all day with her mother or someone else watching her--and if something awful could've happened to her during this time, accidentally or intentionally. If this were true, then perhaps whomever was present at the home decided that CS would also have to die so he could be used as a scapegoat.

I know this seems a little far-fetched, but I really believe that finding out where BS and her mother were all day (and where the mother was during the period of time after CS got home from school and before she found the kids in the basement) might suggest some other explanations for how this crime occurred (sorry, don't buy the suicide theory).

The "Pre-K Counts!" program that BS would've qualified for does not appear to offer transportation--parents or guardians must drop off/pick up their children.

It's sad to think of a dog chained in the basement. Couldnt he just freely roam in the basement, without being chained? Sad too imagine.

I hate to think he was kept chained up all of the time, outside too. I hate to see dogs treated that way.

Heart emoji. Me too.

And they are not going to allow an 8 yr old sibling to walk her home. They sometimes allow teenaged siblings to pick up pre-k students though.

I wonder how the kids got home from school that day, or if they went?

It appears both children are wearing their back packs in front of school. This photo was used at school balloon release. I assume BS attended PreK.

If school is out @ 3:20, and Mom arrived at home @ 4:30, how'd the kids get home?

Pre-schools don't release students without a parent or caretaker to pick them up. Would they release her to an 8 yr old sibling?

My kids preschool only released them to teenaged siblings. But maybe that is not usual for this school?

Another possibility is that there never was a dog at all. So she bought that leash with a specific intention in mind.

Good morning all!

The shock of how these two young children died has left me reeling like I'm sure it has for all of us.

Just when I think the deaths of little children no longer shock me after following all of these heart shattering cases for decades now...it does. I never become desensitized though to all the pain, and suffering each child went through.:(

I'm trying very hard to keep my emotions in check, and I'm having a hard time doing so.

But I'm going to look at it as objectively as I can.

I do know we are enduring one of the most horrid times in our history where bullying has become a blood sport pastime on the internet, and elsewhere in every facets of our lives now.

Their chosen targets to spew their divisiveness hatred or control runs the gambit as for as the ages they unmercifially attack, and harass.

We seem to be drowning in a giant putrid cesspool of constant toxic evil negativity which is as dangerous as cancer. Imo.

So these are only my opinions of what could have happened to these two precious children.

1. Could someone through xbox have chatted with the son, walking him through the steps needed to hang himself, and his little sister? Could he have convinced his naive sister it was just a game?

Shockingly we have seen how sick twisted evil people love nothing better to be in power, and control over another's fragile life.. even urging them on even if they aren't sure they want to commit suicide.

2. Is it possible their mom knew the bullying was coming from xbox chats, and did nothing about it even though she says now she knows bullying kills so she could use this as an excuse to kill them both?

After all he had given his mom fair warning he did not want to go or do this alone.

So if true, how many damn red flags did she have to see falling everywhere to know her little son, and daughter were in extreme danger?

As an aside:
Of course this case is being treated as a criminal homicide investigation. One or both children are victims of homicidal violence. It is up to the investigators along wih the ME to determine if both were homicides perpetrated at the hands of another. Or if it was homicide...suicide. Either way one or both will be determined to have been homicide victims.

May justice be done

Wasn’t there an older teenager? Could have picked the younger ones up from school.
Or could have been home sick. Don’t know if mom works. Guessing father is not in picture.

No normal parent would do that. In fact few insane parents would probably leave their kids there.
And she could easily have unsnapped the hook to let them down as they could have been revived right there and possibly survived - one must ask -why not do this? She didn’t need wire cutters if the leash posted upthread was the one used IMO

I don’t think mommy’s Facebook is still up, but I’d love to see it. I think there’s three plausible motives here, or a mixture of them.

The kids were somehow in the way (Like Diane Downs).

Some sort of financial motivation.

Attention seeking. This would go beyond any effort to sell the “bullying” scenario, which would be in her interest to push as a way to misdirect the investigation (something equivalent to Munchausen).
It's back up as of this morning. Name spelled backwards - first and middle. Nothing to see.

This is likely a 6' basement ceiling. These old basements are seldom finished because human habitation typically requires 7' ceilings (building code).

I just had another thought. Mother mentioned that the dog was kept outside. I'm inclined to think the dog was tethered outside (based on double latch, coated chain).

I'm wondering if mom would bring the dog inside basement during inclement weather, and tether dog in the basement. Perhaps mom pre-hung the dog chain from the rafters in basement and just happened to leave it there. If so, maybe Conner didn't need to reach all the way to rafters.

There's also a warrant for the dog that hasn't been produced for LE.

Too much mystery surrounding the dog too.

MOO
The dog might have been located by now. MSM isn't good at updating. PSP might be closed lipped about it also.
