I haven't been able to come up with any other photos as yet, but I will continue to look. I can remember as a small child seeing him, as a matter of fact he used to hitch rides on our school bus, how creepy is that? And he always wore a cowboy hat and boots. I can also remember that as kids we tried to stay as far away from him as we could. He just looked at you so wierd and our parents told us not to talk to him.

I didn't realize you "knew" him! Wow! Did you know Tracey? Did you know his kids? ARe there other murders around that area that you think he might have committed? I mean, that likely wasn't his first crime.
Sorry so many questions. But it is interesting to hear more from someone local and who saw him! Thanks

Yes, I was in 9th grade and Tracey was in 7th at the time of her death. This is a very small community. Her father was a teacher at the local high school. It literally destroyed her family, her parents have since died and have lost touch with her brother, he moved from the area quite a while ago.
There aren't any unsolved murders in this immediate area that come to mind, but there were rumours concerning sexual assaults against other children. He lived in a remote section of Clearfield County at that time and people just turned a blind eye because it was thought the victims were members of his family, besides his own children. It is really sad but thats the way it was back in the early 60's here in hillbilly land. His children were quite a bit younger than me and they lived in the backwoods so I didn't have occasion to associate with them.
It seems to me that his son changed his name after he turned 18 and I have no idea about his daughter. I do think that he still has relatives that live in Pinchatolie (Pin-cha-tool-e), its not even on a map.
Everyone I talk with thinks he fled to Mexico. They all say he knows exactly what he's doing and to continue his sick ways he would leave the area. The papers in the area were flooded with his pic for weeks and times have changed, the residents were looking for him everywhere. I wouldn't doubt it that he had an accomplice help him escape.

I wonder if he might someday make it to the fbi's most wanted list. They have a page on their website just for crimes against children.

I just came across this story and goggled his name. He is still listed on the U.S. Marshall list and there is a wanted "picture" of him and it mentions that he was wanted for murder and rape of the 12 year old girl.
