I know most of my fellow posters object to the LE group photo, and I do see that it can look like a Super Bowl victory.Probably the last thing those kids heard from their mom was her screaming or her cries for help, and they couldn't do anything.
I was in the Erie, PA area a few years ago in October, and the fall foliage was stunning.I agree with others here that all of the footage of the manhunt, along with the comments from locals, has played like an enticing travel brochure for this gorgeous area. I never had any idea about Pennsylvania’s ravishing beauty, but it’s now on my bucket list of places to visit.
Hopefully the prison system will get a good working over before I get there.
I’m glad this is over now, and the next time I hear news about Cavalcante will be too soon.

But, just my unpopular opinion, this is such a supremely victorious outcome that I hope his ex-girlfriend’s children eventually frame it and put it in their wall.
Only me, I know, but I’m content with the picture.
Maybe also frame it with something durable and put it in his next SECURE prison cell.

Yes, I think so. Report during news conference said that he had a scalp wound from the dog. They did say it wasn't too bad.Is that y his face looks like this

After his capture and dog bite they gave him immediate medical attention. I'm sure that included cleaning up his wound and sterilizing the dog bite.I am puzzled by where the blood on his face shown in this image came from, unless the K9 who initially got him bit him on the head, or law enforcement were none too gentle taking him into custody. Or maybe this is, as someone else suggested, photoshopped?
I don't care for the optics either, but I get that the group was elated and this will probably be the most memorable day in their careers. I think it's a sign of the times... all the selfies, posting pics on FB and Instagram has become a way of life for many. Guess I'm just old school... so for example, I decided not to take a picture of my 50th blood donation because I was only doing what I should be doing,,, and when you think of it, I should have given 75 donations by now.I think a group photo of the team without the perp in it wouldn't have caused a stir. To me, it brings up images of hunters with big-game prey. Not a good look when it's a person who was caught. But, tbh, in the whole big picture, I am not particularly upset and just hope "best practices" leads other LE teams away from similar photo shoots. jmo
I suspect part of the reason for Governor Shapiro's generous offer is to find out where that sweatshirt came from.https://twitter.com/CoconnellFox29
@CoconnellFox29
Governor Shapiro just offered to buy a new Kelly green Eagles hoodie for whoever got theirs stolen from #danelocavalcante.
Jason Kelce would undoubtedly like to have a few "words"LE source tells Danelo Cavalcante was spotted in a woodpile using thermal Flir imaging. US Customs and Border Patrol agents moved in and took him down. He has now arrived at State Police barracks in Avondale.
