re: cabins

This is reminding me of the Christopher Dorner case, a massive manhunt for this killer.
He ended up in the Big Bear area, and it still took days to find him. He had hidden in a cabin.

Following this and checking multiple times during the day.
I have a feeling it's going to end in a similar manner.

Given the way he scaled the wall to escape, I think he might be hiding out in trees.

Hope he's enjoying the wildlife ... esp. the bugs and mosquitoes !

I have followed this for the past two days and I am just absolutely awestruck that he hasn't been caught yet. It's not like he's concealing himself very well since he's been seen about a trillion times on Ring cameras, etc. and he is mostly sticking to one area...clearly a very crazy, "crafty" person IMO. I just hope he's apprehended without anyone else being harmed by this sick individual.
Stealing only snap peas and fruit from a burglarized home is just so odd.

I would imagine prison life would be better than living the way he is now! He will get tired and stupid, hopefully no one else is hurt.

If he has been traveling in water and damp weather, his feet, shoes and socks will have been wet for a week now. I tried to zoom in on his sneakers in the escape video so see how sturdy they are. Unless he has kept his feet dry some how, they should be pretty uncomfortable with possible blisters and possibly failing cheap materials which may slow him down some. I would be interested to know if more trails cama have been put up in the areas that they were attempting to send him with their perimeter, especially with in Longwood Gardens. Widening the area nd squeezing him towards the gardens keeps him away from homes which protects people and prevents him from getting more resources.

Choices on what to grab is limited to what was on the counter and he was interrupted by the home owner. Those things are i stand energy and can be eaten as is, leaves no wrappers as clues.

I didn’t realize he’s a small man ….only 5 feet and 120 pounds, not that it matters he’s still dangerous.

I am headed to see my parents/sister in Chadds Ford from Florida today, have not seen my parents since before Covid. Sister lives on south end of current perimeter, 52,Rt.1, Hallendale rd area, parents about 5 miles south on 52 from Route 1. The stress and anxiety for them/the community has been overwhelming. There have been some relevant recent posts about native food sources in the wild, native wild berries are prevalent, rhubarb brought back childhood memories of camp in this area in the 70's growing up in Delaware. From following this all week I find it hard to believe that with each sighting DC is eluding capture. LE are on horses, dog units, helicopters, and tactical ground forces with ATV's, it's mind boggling to hear he is near Longwood possibly 4 days later from last sighting. As MSM media has continually mentioned, thick brush is common and typically thorns, I would have to imagine that he is pretty marked up from hiding in the thick. Underground bunker with lid is another thought, these are open farms in certain areas surrounding Longwood. I'll post this weekend if I hear or see anything going on that can give WS Fam any insight. Yes, mushroom festival is this weekend and is going to be held in light of the search.

He also is strong and agile. He could be anywhere, even places that are not where it might be expected. He can fit in small places, climb, etc. The bomber in Boston was found in a boat in someone's yard. This perp is likely even more creative and flexible in finding places to hide.

The thorns in the bush around here are crazy. Always get scraped up when I go explore with the puppy. He's probably getting destroyed by them but, then again, what are thorns and brush when you've already gone through razor wire.

This whole situation just makes me think of the 2015 Dannemora prison escape with Richard Matt & David Sweat. I watched that in real time from Burlington, VT! Crazy times

How long did it last? I think I watched a TV series about it on Shotime but it was probably filled with embellishments to make a better show.

Danelo Cavalcante, 34, stretched his 5-foot, 120-pound frame across the brick and cinderblock walls to push himself to the roof at the Chester County Prison in Pocopson Township before he made his way out of custody Thursday.

Video at link.

They still have rds closed in that area, been watching maps for a week.

Police have confirmed seven sightings of Cavalcante since his escape. The most recent sighting occurred on Thursday just before noon local time. Authorities told reporters during a news conference Thursday there was a possible sighting of Cavalcante in the vicinity of Longwood Gardens, an hour south of Philadelphia.

A recording of Cavalcante's mother asking, in Portuguese, for his peaceful surrender is being broadcast from helicopters flying over the search area.

A combination of the thick brush and scorching temperatures have complicated the search, according to NPR member station WHYY. Excessive heat has rendered thermal cameras unusable and led to the hospitalization of one tactical search dog.

Agreed.
I think they had 'help' from the inside, as well ?
Added to that I thought the penalties given to the corrections officer who assisted them wasn't nearly harsh enough.
Wondering if Cavalcante had any help ?

It was creepy watching DC look up at the security camera and guard tower before he started climbing.

How the heck did they miss that ?
Omo.
