Jersey, I think there is a slight mention of that in the article.
Do you think that Daddy was in on it?
You know, I can't decide. I find it very possible but I just can't get my theory together on it without more info. What do you think?

Insisting that no one can stop her from loving the child she kidnapped as an infant during a fire and raised as her own, Carolyn Correa was sentenced to nine to 30 years Friday for a crime that drew national attention.

Speaking in a flat voice and showing no emotion, the 43-year-old Willingboro woman said that she believed the girl, Delimar Vera, to be her own, but also claimed that Delimar's biological father gave her the infant to raise.

The father, Pedro Vera, shook his head as he sat in the front row of the courtroom. His attorney, Edward Zawrotny, later called Correa's claim "absurd."

If I remember correctly the father was kinda distant after the fire. It was only the mother who kept insisting that her child wasn't dead. And even now, the media only gets short answers from him. You would think he would be screaming because she has accused him, but no he just says it is absurd. Police do think there is a second party who may have been involved, and no one was at the home except Mom, Dad and Correa was there? Correa was with Mom when the fire started. I have serious doubts about Dad, but I don't think they will ever be able to prove it.

There is a Thread about this in the crimes in the news forum.

Here is the link

There are a lot of unanswered questions in this case.
Some Family members claim that the mother had in fact seen this cousin and her child previous to when she claims she had.

Also there was mention that the kidnapper had a child 3 days earlier but no mention of what happend to this child.

Another interesting twist was that the mother claimed she suspected the cousin had in fact taken her child but did not know where she lived, Yet family claims that the cousin lived only 15 miles away.

I am not attacking the victim here and I am happy that this women found her child but I find the conflicting reports disturbing. Maybe just media spin from the side of the family trying to defend the kidnapper??

As if it isn't bad enough that Dad could possibly have given away this little girl and now is a part of her life like the ever-grateful reunited parent, now we have to worry that the agencies involved that night will have to give him money! Craziness. Absolute craziness.

I do. Wasn't it his relative that had the baby?
