I agree. I’m interested to see how it all plays out. I’m surprised there isn’t much attention in this like other juvenile cases. I hope it’s not because they said he’s autistic…

In central Pennsylvania, there is a LOT of attention on this situation...

Oh wow. Such a sad situation and a sad picture. It's one thing to hear about it, it's another thing to see him looking so little in handcuffs.
I agree it is shocking and sad to see, but he is charged in the murder of his adoptive father, that cannot be overlooked. :(

There is no way any 11 year old should be charged as an adult IMO.

There definitely should be consequences. But this child likely has challenges with impulse control and emotional regulation, based on his background and possible developmental challenges. I do hope they are taking this into account with his current arrangements. And this doesn’t take away from the seriousness and impact of the shooting, to me they can exist together.

Was it the child's fault he had access to a gun, though? How many consequences go to the 11-year-old, and how much to each adult who knew there was a gun at home? JMO.

Exactly. If he has a known problem with impulse control and dealing with frustration and anger with violence, he does need a harsh sentence and to not be released to be a danger to society. He needs to be held accountable for his actions. Along with extensive therapy.
