Employees of an East Stroudsburg construction company located a body in a dumpster on site.

"The body was found at the bottom of a dumpster with what appeared to be a suitcase, full black garbage bags, a mattress, and other refuse piled on top."

"The body, too decomposed to immediately gauge even its height, weight or race, was taken from the lot beside GAK Construction on Washington Street to the Monroe County coroner's office at 4:30 Thursday. An autopsy performed Friday morning was inconclusive, said chief deputy coroner Maurice Moreno."

Another article with an apparent clothing description included referencing a black shirt and denim shorts. No information is currently available beyond that besides the remains being of a female. Incredibly sad I hope they can identify this person soon I hate the thought that their family has no idea where they are.

Corbin Anthony DeSimone, 22, has been arrested and charged with criminal use of a communication facility, abuse of corpse, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, according to a news release from the Stroud Area Regional Police Department.

Through the course of the ongoing investigation SARPD detectives developed information leading them to the believed identity of the female, followed by notification to potential next of kin. Police said the female's identity will be confirmed and released upon receipt of DNA confirmation.

Thanks for posting this! I just saw the arrest posted in a group and the charges are a bit strange, criminal use of a communication facility? Never seen that before. But he hasn’t been charged with murder so I assume he’s got some other story he’s telling police if they don’t have a cause of death as of yet or someone else was involved in some aspect.

If it was an accident or an OD the suitcase element seems absolutely bizarre usually people just abandon the person somewhere in local overdose cases. Sad, but the idea of putting someone in a suitcase is just so messed up.

DeSimone, who had been living in a room inside of the GAK Construction building on Washington Street, was seen on the property with a female on July 17.
DeSimone and the female were seen on video together July 18 as DeSimone purchased heroin from a known drug dealer. Police say the female was seen entering the area of DeSimone's room and is never seen exiting the area.
On July 22, DeSimone exited the side garage door near the dumpster with the suitcase and returned inside without the suitcase.
Due to the police activity in the area, the drug dealer contacted DeSimone again and asked what happened, DeSimone told the dealer that “she overdosed and I didn’t know what to do"

So many instances of a friend/co-user dumping the body after an overdose. Corrine Pena was the first one to come to mind. Does PA allow a user to call for help without fear of prosecution? Some states do, I believe. Akin to the infant “safe haven” laws.

“A person may not be charged and shall be immune from prosecution” if the person “reported, in good faith, a drug overdose event to a law enforcement officer…and the report was made on the reasonable belief that another person was in need of immediate medical attention and was necessary to prevent death or serious bodily injury due to a drug overdose.”

The Good Samaritan Drug Overdose Immunity Law states:

This is what I was thinking about I was always under the impression in PA this was the case ^ which is why the suitcase thing just throws me for a loop. I mean the guy is 22 maybe he’s just that stupid, but why for any reason would you dump the body of someone who overdosed and put yourself in this kind of suspicious situation. It’s 2021 I cannot believe he thought no one would be able to find him on camera.

Well the overdose is his story is what I mean, because I don’t think they have released a cause of death so it’s hearsay at the moment that that’s how she died, but they know she was with him and never left obviously. But being realistic what kind of moron puts an overdose victim in a suitcase like for what reason. He could literally call the police and leave if he was that scared people do that all the time with overdoses. He’s young I guess and maybe being on drugs you panic but I mean, how difficult is it to put a human being in a suitcase that seems like beyond the scope of what you’d expect in that situation.

I know I’m harping on this point but just looking at suitcases in standard size that I have I’m 5’3 and 115lbs and someone would have to like be pretty brutal and virtually snap me in half to get me into something like this... it makes me like so angry to think of this idiot being so selfish he would degrade someone’s body to that point because he was afraid of a drug charge? And then let the body decompose in a dumpster is even more degrading.

I saw a quote from this article where he referred to her as “his girl” to someone. Okay there’s no relationship anything on any of his socials one. And two “your girl” your girl you crushed into a suitcase and threw in a dumpster to rot? Like I’m still suspicious of his alleged relationship with this woman until all the evidence comes out because he didn’t behave like he had any empathy for her after death or felt bad in any way at all.

I want to see cause of death, timing and more about their relationship before I can fully believe this kid is just an idiot with no respect for this woman and everything was just an accident. Someone tampering with a body post mortem like this just makes me so angry even if it was an overdose as he claims. Iv seen it all with ODs, people robbing the bodies of their dead friends. Leaving bodies in allies. But putting her in the garbage, give me a break that’s by far the most disgusting behavior Iv heard for a situation like this.

Corbin DeSimone pleads 'not guilty' to dumping Kerrigan Rohsler's body

Rohsler and DeSimone were connected over social media, but the extent of their relationship is unclear. On July 17, Rohsler arrived with three suitcases in hand at GAK Construction — the company building where DeSimone worked and lived during a time he would have been otherwise homeless. Police said DeSimone introduced Rohsler as "his girl" when he bought drugs from Denise Messner, of New York, on July 18.

Messner testified during DeSimone's preliminary hearing that when she saw him again the next day, alone, DeSimone said: "That is not my girl. She left."

Employees at GAK Construction found Rohsler's body at the bottom of the company's dumpster on July 22, decomposed beyond recognition. Days later, Messner said she crossed paths with DeSimone again and was told: "She overdosed, and I didn't know what to do."

Police arrested DeSimone on Aug. 3 and charged him with criminal use of a communication facility, abuse of a corpse and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. He pleaded "not guilty" to the charges against him in lieu of a formal arraignment Wednesday.
