Deceased/Not Found PA - Elizabeth “Beth” Capaldi, 55, last seen by husband, phone & car left behind, Sellersville, Bucks Co, 10 Oct 2022

On page 1, Beth was described as somebody who didn’t really leave the house, correct? So perhaps a homebody.
In MIL’s comment “she’s not a walker” - does she mean that Beth is not a walker because she is a “homebody” but maybe she online shopped a lot? I don’t know I obviously could just be reaching here, I just have no idea. Bizarre.

I think she meant that Beth wasn't a person that went walking for exercise, so it's unlikely she left to go out on a stroll.

I have a feeling somebody knows where she is.

Makes sense.

I assumed (and could be wrong about it) that the comment by the MIL was in response to a member of the search party asking if Beth walked (as a hobby/fitness routine) and if so what paths or parks she preferred to use. So I could see the response indicating either that her main hobby was shopping (online) OR that she was the kind of person who could spend hours browsing in stores for fun (hey, don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it—you get your steps in for the day and also may get some inspiration for new looks for yourself or your home!).

Yeah I totally misinterpreted. My bad!

Where are you Beth?

maybe if Beth’s only real hobby was shopping, could that have caused money issues/financial stress in the marriage?
I could be wrong, but based off her SM I would say Beth was more into upcycling and browsing than actually purchasing items.

Looking at Goggle Earth and using my past SAR Management experience, the highest areas of probability for searching would be: Wooded areas between High, Elm and the Rail Right of Way; High, Church, Walnut and Ert; The entire Lake Lenape Park; E Park, Diamond and Wickford; and the pond between Essex Court and Spring. The park would be the only area she would walk to of her own accord. Regrettably, all others would be dump sites. If she is not in any of those areas, it would indicate the possibility she was transported out of the area by abduction or of her own accord.

I received a response from a local professional SAR team Saturday. As I currently understand it, LE has only been allowing volunteer searchers and has not brought in professional SAR teams. At this point, I am concerned that weather has destroyed any scent trails that Bloodhounds may have been able to follow. Establishing an initial direction of travel from the place last known/last seen by scent or tracks is critical. Any abrupt end to the scent trail/track trail indicates transport by other means. The trail would also indicate if the subject was headed towards a place they frequently visit, or something unusual.

I wonder why LE hasn't used professional SAR teams? You guys have skills that are unmatched due to your training and experience.
Thanks for sharing the response you received.

Recently I considered that maybe Beth left of her own freewill and took her wallet with her so she could later be identified. I'm not saying that's what happened because all along I have felt that foul play is involved. But I'm trying to use simple logic to understand why she took her wallet and "a few personal belongings," but not her phone or keys.

$13,000.00 is missing? That's a lot of cash.

Assuming she wasn't in debt to the underworld or something like that, I'd say she left to make a new life elsewhere, perhaps under a new identity. Whether or not it's the result of a relationship I can't decide one way or the other.
MOO

"Per the husband" though...

If that was verified, I can't imagine the DA would have held a press conference.

I wonder if anyone else can corroborate that?. It certainly gives credence to her just up and leaving, rather than being a victim of foul play, but if it was cash from the home and there is only the husband's word for it's existence, it doesn't really change much imo.

650 $20 bills...not something you slip into your wallet or pocket
you need a tote or a backpack... or a new account somewhere I guess

just out of curiosity, when did she get the tatoos? recently?

I’m still hung up on the part that her daughter had to report her missing 2-3 days later. If hubby was concerned for her welfare or even upset that the cash was taken, I think that contacting the authorities would have been a priority, especially since it’s way out of character for her.
