I am certain his wife & his family feel simply horrible about what has happened. They are not to blame......but I'd not want them at the funeral. I'd want people who loved my child to attend. My anger wouldn't be at the family. It would be at the purp who did this to my child.

My brother died a horrid death at 12 yrs old. A friend of his, deliberately threw a match on him after gasoline spilled on him. He had over 98% of his body burnt. He lived 27 days, he died a horrible death. I am not consumed in pity nor hate. Nor do I think daily of his death or what happened to him. Since his friend was 14 my folks never pressed charges. I rarelly allow mysellf to think of it. The guy (now 51) has lived with himself daily. I don't know or care what happened to him. He would never be a friend of mine! Nor would he be welcome in my home. I'd never give him a chance to harm my family again.

Gosh, that's awful. Your poor parents, what a sad thing to have happen to your brother. Wonder what the other boy was thinking in that instant the threw the match, or was he thinking? I don't know if I could be as gracious as your family and not file charges.

There's a older guy near here who walks the street and is known as being "crazy". When he and his family were younger, their house caught on fire and one of his sons came running out with his clothes on fire. The man picked up an old milk jug of clear liquid thinking it was water and doused him with it. Turns out it was kerosene that had been in the jug so long it had lost it's color:( The little boy died and the dad went nuts. Don't know what happened to his wife and other kids. The poor man has a house but won't go there, he walks the streets all the time living like a hobo.

I do remember earlier that one of the girls was taken off life support and died in the hospital. I think that's right. That would mean the other one would have been sent home to at the family's request, then she died.

I think this is right.
Another girl, 6, was taken off life support at Hershey and brought home to die. But a minister who has met with the families said that the girl was showing signs of recovery and was taken back to the medical center for further treatment.

To sum it all up, according to reports today, this is the situation with the 10 victims:

Of the 10 girls in the schoolhouse, the five who died, in addition to Marian and Anna Mae, were Naomi Rose Ebersol, 7, and sisters Mary Liz, 8, and Lena Miller, 7.

The five wounded girls remain hospitalized, at Hershey Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

three girls will make it through fully physically

One of the most critically ill girls is believed to be at CHOP.

cheko1,

I am so sorry about what happened to your brother. Such a stupid thing for that kid to do. I'm sure that he has lived with it all of his life.
Thank you, Shadow!

That was my point. I think this is good news. She went home to die but is getting better. Kind of similar to being sent home from hospice.........
And one girl was well enough to go to her sister's funeral and returned to the hospital. Sorry if I confused anyone......

They felt he would have to live with what he did forever & that was suffering enough. Maybe it was??? I just wanted to show why I am not forgiving to a purp. I wish the boy could of seen what he did to a human being being a smart azz... Never meant to stray off subject.

1 last note, I can see why the 'crazy' man is 'crazy'. I said a prayer for him. His son died a horrid death.

I am sincerely sorry for you and your family, and especially what your brother had to endure, I can totally understand why you feel the way you do. I have a 13 yr old son and I can not even imagine what you all went through. Again, I am so sorry.

They are nasty. A couple of weeks ago, they protested at a funeral that took place near our business. The funeral was for a young man who's been killed in Iraq.

But because this man was a former member of the fire department, the police and fire department showed up for his funeral. There was also the motorcycle group that shows up to drown them out. The fire department parked their trucks right in front of the protesters, and revved their engines to drown out the protesters.

I think this Phelps guy has a secret. He's so filled with hate that there has to be something he's hiding.

I thought someone posted that she died. I am confused.

So am I...O'Reilly said last night on his show that she'd died. A lot of misinformation and rumors, I guess. I'm very glad she's better!!

I heard that last night too. I think that maybe he was referring to the little girl who was taken home. Maybe this makes it a little clearer:

The five wounded girls remain hospitalized, at Hershey Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

“They are delighted that at least three girls will make it through fully physically,” Rhoads said of the Amish community. “The others, they are waiting to see what can happen.”

No official word is available on the children’s conditions. Hospitals are now declining to provide updates, at the request of the girls’ families.

One of the most critically ill girls is believed to be at CHOP.

Another girl, 6, was taken off life support at Hershey and brought home to die. But a minister who has met with the families said that the girl was showing signs of recovery and was taken back to the medical center for further treatment.

It sounds like 3 of the girls are doing pretty well but 2 seem to still be critical.

They said on the Philadelphia TV news tonight, either NBC or CBS, that the girl who was taken back to Hershey Medical Center, after being taken home to die, had blinked her eyes while at home. No additional info was given.

He'd probably protest that you used the word "nuts". lol

Yeah, this group is disgusting. I totally believe in free speech and know we have to protect that freedom for everyone.

But boy oh boy, it would be hard to hold me back if I saw them and their horrid signs at the funeral of a soldier or a poor murdered gay person.

Way too many weirdo's in our society today - way to many -

Too many people minding other people's business - take a look at yourself first is my motto -

GOD, this angers me!

I watched Gallagher on O'Reilly the other day. What these protester called these little girls - I'm not even going to mention. This group headed by Phelp's daughter and her girlfriend apparently are both lawyers and they know exactly what and what not to say to avoid prosecution. The ACLU backs them.
