I am seeing something else in the photo that only shows the ater, but I think I am going bonkers. I'll try to get it up so u can see I am. LOL

I didn't blow this up big enough but it looked like an image just above the letters ater. This is the first photo that was listed. It looks like and old fashion girl sort of sitting/lying back. She has on the old type bonnet, long dress. I made it red so it would stand out.

DO NOT CALL THE MEN IN THE WHITE COATS.

Okay, I blew it up myself and I do see what you are seeing. It certanitly does look like a girl in a dress with somekind of bonnet or top hat.

I also see the image Beyond Belief is seing now sure if its a girl in a dress with a bonet or a top hat. I would be happy to post these two large images except I haven't got the foggest idea how to do that, sorry.

Thats what I thought, I have the sugar, she's not on there. I was thinking Old Dominion, but I don't even know what that is. Weird, probably a tv flashback. Did Wendy's change their logo to the red hair pig tailed girl or was that original?
Maybe its butter or some staple like that. Could be like an Amish ad.

While I was looking for possible matches to the pic I found this site with some interesting sounds that play in the background (once it gets the sounds loaded)
and I was leaving that sound to play in the background while working on the image project today.

After blowing up the picture i belive the letters ATED appear on the bottom not ATER and after that I see the Letters PA. I am wondering if this bag was manufactred at the associated Bag company of pennsylvania. See link.

Maybe, but if its a large company they could be shipped in from anywhere. I get our bags from Atlanta and I am in south Florida. Company supplies them.

Here's a picture showing a "Food Fair" that includes a picture of their paper bags from -- whenever those cars in the picture were current.http://www.dcgrocery.com/
(This link will take you to the main page, then click on "Food Fair/Grand Union," and it's in Pg 5 of the album.)

The picture named "locations" on pg 1 of the album shows that there was a Food Fair in Lancaster, PA, which is the closest "city" to where the body was found. This picture also shows a very similar logo font to our "FA."

One problem is that it looks to me like Food Fairs were defunct possibly by the later 80's. I'll look that up. But how about this -- she was murdered by a frugal person who saved grocery bags for years.

Well anyway, all the albums are interesting on this site as far as grocery stores and logos go.

Edited to add: I just joined that group, and I'd like to get their help in identifying the bag, but don't know if I'd have permission to link to the enhanced pictures in the Yahoo album. Waiting for your permission docwho3.
