Ugh. We can build skyscrapers and make functioning guns out of plastic but we can't save these kids.

Authorities are going to be very busy now tracking down all these kids and questioning them about possible abuse

Jacob Patrick Sulivan

When they arrived at the house on East Cherry Road, Sullivan allegedly struck Grace several times in the face, splitting her lip. Sullivan and Sara Packer then took Grace to the third-floor attic. Sullivan had prepared for the rape “and took a Viagra pill prior to attacking Grace,” according the affidavit.

Sullivan sexually assaulted Grace as her mother watched, according to investigators.

“Jacob Sullivan admitted that Sara Packer was sexually aroused witnessing him do this,” the affidavit states.

Sara Packer then allegedly gave Grace antihistamines in an attempt to drug her, telling her they would help ease the pain inflicted by the attack.

I'd assumed that she only met them after Grace's death. Was she living with them whilst Grace was still alive?

Well, since it's definitely considered rumor anything you read on SM I can't really speak to that. However, On October 11th (page 2 of the charging doc.) when two of the detectives arrived at the Cherry Rd. residence, she was there. So was Grace - in the attic packed in kitty litter. JS admitted it was that LE visit that prompted him to do what he did with her in the 2nd floor bathroom. I have a hard time believing someone could live in the same house, be intimately involved with the others, and not know. It's possible I guess but it's a stretch for me.

ETA: if you do a FB search for "posts liked" from both JS and SP, you can clearly see they both knew the 3rd party long before Grace was murdered. (I just couldn't figure out how to say that without violating TOS). Of course it doesn't mean she knew what they were capable of or knew what they did, but I'm sure LE is looking very very closely at that as well.

Disgusting animals, I hope they make a second attempt in jail and succeed. The good people of PA should be spared the cost of a trial and lifetime care-taking!!

When I read her Facebook page (before her name was even mentioned in the media) I wanted to gag, and not because of her sexual orientation.

I hope she loses her social services job!!! How could she not know or at least suspect?

Anyone else notice the FB post on SP's page dated August 25, 2012? It pre-dates Grace's murder but sounds ominous and strange knowing what we know now. Not sure if I can quote directly from the post that I'm referring to so just going to ask if anyone else who has gone to her page noticed as well.

I don't know how much has been removed or scrubbed or whatever but there is still content on there (posts, pics, employment info, no friends list though) but not nearly as much I would have expected from a person described by media as a "frequent Facebook user". Perhaps more content was on there at some point. (Note that her account is under her maiden name, Pielaet.)

Lay with dogs, you're going to get fleas. This other girlfriend knew Grace was missing. Surely she saw Sara Packers evasion. Here I go again, she has a degree and works in social services. I'm not sure if it's with children, I can't remember. She has since made all those posts private now. I just have a hard time thinking an intelligent person didn't put two and two together. Time will tell I guess.
