What does "Predators know how to choose victims" mean?

Old thread. Are you researching this case for a reason?

I think what I meant was predators seek victims they think will keep quiet. They may choose someone who is vulnerable in some way (which is never the victim's fault), because that makes it even less likely the victim will press charges or follow through with a trial.

This is a very messed up situation. Idk how a bride- nevermind her parents- can stand by this rapist. Is he wealthy or something? What a horrible life. The bride’s lost a close friend, they are beginning their married life in shame & alienation. Which of her other friends will EVER stop by the house to hang out- and possibly get raped while there? Or further betray the survivor? For all they know he could rape her mom next!
And what’s with PA’s weird rape statutes?! Way too many degrees imvho- diminishes the crime. Just put them all awaaaaaay.
