Not sure if this was mentioned, but the investigator or the DA said that he had been in her life since she was 12. I have to wonder if this was not the first time he sexually assaulted her.

My heart is broken for her family. Esp her children.

Sounds like he was jealous or raged because she was now newlywed

I can only speculate that Jessica threatened to report her stepdad for sexually assaulting her, and that was his motive to kill her that day.

Omg! I am just seeing this now and I am completely in shock! I don't even know where to start here..first of all RIP Jessica and omfg that poor family! This is especially hard because now they've lost not one but two family members I am still trying to get over this..the answer was right infront of all our faces and we all knew something about this case was unusual from the start! I am in complete shock! May god bless Jessica's family and get them through this extremely difficult time and may god protect her protect her poor child and husband and keep them safe as Jessica watchs over them, RIP Jessica


As far as this being this first time he's sexually abused her..I highly doubt it..this man clearly is sick and gets off on killing things rather it be animals or his step-daughter and if he was in her life since she was 12 I'd bet money it isn't the first time she's been abused I'm sure she just kept it to herself.

Jessica Padgett, a Lehigh County woman missing in Northampton County since Friday, has been found dead. Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said Padgett's stepfather, Gregory Robert Graf, 53, was charged with her homicide Wednesday.

If that is the case, then she probably didn't know he was home when she went to fax the paper. If she had been assaulted before ( if she was this time) , I would doubt she would put herself into a situation like that by herself knowing her mother is out of town. IMO. This is so very sad on so many levels. My heart breaks for Jessica and her family and I hope the MAX is what he gets. RIP Jessica

I don't think so. I thought this was going to be the outcome (not that I know by whom or how or where) when she changed her profile pic this afternoon to a beautiful photo of the two of them. Gorgeous girls. Heartbroken for this family, including Jessica's mother who has lost both her daughter and her husband she presumably trusted.

She sent a message to her sister on FB right before she disappeared (now known right before she was killed) that she wanted to be there when the baby was born. I believe her sister is due next week. Heartbreaking Now I wonder if it was her that sent the message....UGH

BBM ... First thing that came to my mind was, I wonder if we'll hear from Jessica's friends saying that she told them he made her uncomfortable or that he was inappropriate with her. I know authorities are saying there are no known prior issues, but that doesn't mean anything. Speaking from experience, family issues can run pretty deep.

My heart goes out to Jessica' s husband, children, and loved ones during this awful time.

Here is a good example of LE not telling what they know. It was originally said where her car was parked, there were no cameras when in fact they had the in their cross hairs the whole time.
