The speculation is that she'd been babysitting King for quite some time. The step dad also has a 7 year old daughter with Amber Hill - King's Mum.

The audio I listened to did not pick up some of the questions at the press conference. Did anyone catch which questions the homicide detective did not want to answer?

It seemed like a few questions in a row right before he said something like: she was hospitalized at the time of the arrest (which I presumed meant Parks was in the hospital when arrest warrant was issued?).

No offense to all the people that have done well graduating out of CCP or some of the wonderful faculty.

I had my first non-family babysitting job when I was 11.
This was also 1976, and basically on another planet, from the world we live in today.

Babysitter's thought process was "lie my way out of this". Period.
She likely never even gave it any thought past that.

I had a hard time hearing most of the PC. My volume was high

I think she asked where was she that night. ? (15:32)
"I would prefer not to answer that question."

One question I heard asked, (9:35) "Is there is any video evidence of Parks with King."

The reply was, "We are not going to comment specifically on that."

That’s just what happened to me. I’ve been away a couple of days and just popped in to see the header changed. My heart sank although I don’t think I ever believed there’d be a different outcome in this one.
