PA PA - King Hill, 2, stepfather said King was with babysitter, Philadelphia, 7 Jul 2020 *GUILTY #2

No, I don't think so. LE said it was surveillance footage and cellphone video evidence which led them to believe King was deceased. I don't think they meant they had direct evidence of his death.

The abuse of a corpse charge probably pertains to the fact that she hid the body, or disposed of it it an inappropriate way. Imo

Agree. As we discussed at the time, in the press conference Police said "We don't right now have the mechanism of King Hill's death, we don't know the date of his death, and we don't know the location of his death, nor do we know where Ms Parks disposed of his body, but we know based on the evidence that we have that he was in fact killed by Ms Parks,"
Footage could include any number of things - such as:
  • surveillance video of king going into Parks apartment and never coming out (maybe Parks toting out a suitcase though)
  • Cell video of King last seen alive with Parks in crucial time period
  • Footage proving Parks was not where she said she was with regard to her different false claims about handing off King to his mom/uncle.
  • Cell video of Parks confession or talking about King being gone
  • Cell video of an injured, ill or deceased King (but not the actual murder because they said they didn’t know mechanism, date or place of death)
  • Cell video of Parks engaged in felony/ reckless behavior in King’s presence
  • Etc.

I’m thinking that she most likely told someone about what happened to King via video and they were able to recover it.

Thanks. I need to go read the rest of the 42 pages regarding this case.

LE statement was so strong that I thought they did have direct evidence: "But we know, based on the evidence that we have, that King was killed by Ms Parks."

I wonder if she drugged him and he OD. Is she a drug addict?

I don't think we know of any specific evidence that points to drugs, but I think mental health issues may have played a role. She was in some sort of hospital when she was arrested. It could be a combination of the two, though. Imo

I'm not familiar with PA court system; are records easily accessible or are they behind some kind of a paywall?

I think it depends on whether or not the records are sealed. We only know what's been reported in the media and the arrest affidavit. The Discovery usually is not made public until after the trial or unless Parks pleads guilty. That's when we usually find out most of the details.

Until then it's considered an open investigation and any information that gets out can be harmful to the case. They don't want to spoil the jury pool and they want to ensure a conviction.

Imo

I'm curious about any previous charges for drugs or any other criminal activity.

I believe she did not have a previous record, although someone may have learned otherwise. That would be something the public would have access to.

Hey FrostedGlass!

Tianna C. Parks (24/now 25) aka Tiana C. Parks

@sds71 - has been helping me get court dates! :)

Thanks Niner! It's a good thing there is always someone who can post the court records. I wouldn't know how to find them.

Do you remember anything about a previous criminal record? If I remember correctly, she had a clean record before all this.

Have you watched the video of TP dancing with King that was posted in an earlier thread? Her eyes looked glassy to me. At the end she crawls toward the camera and suddenly these hearts appear over her eyes. It seemed strange to me. Just as I thought I was going to get a better look at her eyes, the hearts covered them up.

There are some other SM posts and videos that were posted here, too, since they were included in MSM sources. I'll go back and see if I can find some of them, but you should watch the one of her dancing if you haven't already. At the very least, it seems inappropriate.

Sorry - I have no access to the court - maybe if @sds71 comes over to the thread - she can look it up. I see that @FrostedGlass - might be looking up prior criminal records for her...

I haven't ever dug through the PA court system site but I might give it a shot in the near future. I did a Google search to see if I could find any drug arrests for her in the news but came up empty except for this case. Drugs are involved in so many of these murder cases that I've just come to expect it in each one I look at.

The PA court site ended up being pretty easy to navigate.
I started here:
Pennsylvania's Unified Judicial System

I clicked "Criminal Courts of Common Pleas" which took me here:
Common Pleas Docket Sheet

Putting in "Tianna Parks" and "Philadelphia", his case came up at the bottom of the page. That little box on the left gives a choice of Docket Sheet or Court Summary.

Here's the Court Summary; I think the Docket has already been posted.

The summary is still listing Parks as "male." Curious. I wonder if they have a criminal record under another name.

ETA: Next court hearing is 12/02/2020

Yes, that's about all we have seen, besides the arrest report with the interviews with witnesses, when everybody told a different story. Everything Tianna said was refuted by the evidence.

Nobody has been able to find any previous arrests or charges, so I don't think she had a previous record.

Thanks for posting all that! Now maybe I can try it myself.

Maybe they were using a different name previously.

FWIW- When the docket originally posted, it listed a related case for TP but based on the year (2012) we believed it to be a sealed juvenile record. There was no indication it was drug-related.

Yes, I thought I remembered something that, too. If she was a minor at the time that would explain why nobody can find it.

It’s probably just a fight or shoplifting, she managed to stay out of trouble for a long time. She seemed a bit obsessed with the baby, so a lot of stuff could’ve happened that resulted in his death, but I’m guessing probably a freak accident or neglect. The vibe I got from her and her family members that were talking and talking and talking on social media when he was missing was that she loved to be the great savior like, “look at me, this baby is not related to me but I’m the only one taking care of him”.
